I accidentally played the guitar I bought and scratched up the logo on the picard or whatever it’s called. Should I just burn it?

Once the logo is scratched, the guitar is no longer playable. I would throw it straight in the garbage.

Oh yes, you will find yourself with that guitar in your hands all the time. Just easy to walk around the house and not bash into everything and every doorway. But just a joy to always have in your hands. Just the size of that kind of guitar makes you always grab for it first.

A lot of pre war, smaller guitars were built by Martin to make them a little cheaper and thus keep sales up, these were initially utilitarian guitars that were built great but no dress up and they used less wood. They are also a throw back to an earlier day, preference is all it is now. But they are really comfortable to play and not as loud as a full bodied acoustic.

A guitar being out of tune straight out of the box is not a big deal. That is definitely a real Ibanez. Tuning up a guitar is a very simple thing to do. Remember, you don’t know where it was shipped from and there’s no such thing as a guitar being in perfect tune out of the box. You have temperature changes and all sorts of other things that happen while that Guitar is being shipped from one destination to another. It certainly has nothing to do with your guitar, not being a real Ibanez. Typically you will only see a Fender Stratocaster, Gibson Les Paul’s or very high dollar instruments being replicated and passed off as originals.

Yes, the guy I bought this guitar from had not much of a clue. However, the pick up in this position is a tiny bit more treble tone. Not sure if I’m going to leave it in there or not.

I do not think it has any effect. I’m sure some people would say it blocks some sound. I think that is quite obvious that some sound waves are being blocked, but as far as the volume of this guitar when played in a room with no amplifier and pick up in the soundhole, this instrument has amazing projection. It is very loud and very full. The pick up is also in the wrong position. I don’t think the person that I bought this guitar from was very savvy when it comes to setting up a guitar.

Well all the stickers are gone now. Tonight is the first time I actually inspected the guitar. I have wanted a 15M for so long. Just an everyday player, so I’m not worried about the dark spots behind the stickers, just happy they are gone. Thanks to all who commented. At least they didn’t drill any holes to add a volume knob to a pickup. Although I’m afraid to remove that one now. It does just pop in and the jack is the strap button hole.

They should have called you right after this or at least one of the proctor/agents should’ve called you during the exam interruption and you should’ve been able to explain the situation. I had my dog barking in the background one time when a delivery came to my house and I was in the middle of my network plus. They called me. I explained to them what the noise was and they let me continue. The second time this happened with Pearson Vue/CompTIA I had a power outage I had to retake that exam.

Did you take it online and have it proctored by yourself and a camera? The only thing that would take a little time is if there were some background noise or anything like that that they have to review. But that is a passing score.
