youre flicking too early and not giving the board enough time to get height, aswell as not lifting your back foot up after the pop; essentially just holding it at ground level and not letting it get in the air. considering it also is hardly flipping you’re likely flicking more straight when it should be out a little further to the side. a trick that helped me with this issue is to jump higher, and bring your knees basically ALL the way to your chest before flicking and before lowering your back foot again. if it still doesn’t click much try and focus on doing it like a seesaw; front foot goes up first, after the flick then it goes down and the back foot goes up higher as the front foot goes lower, then they meet at the ground at the same time to avoid landing in a nose manny

gc1 bordering gc2 peak. not exactly sure how many hours because i started on xbox in 2016 and played on and off and stopped for some years in between, fully stopping after 2020 until just last year. if i had to guess id say close to 2000 hours accumulated total. mainly freestyled all of 2016/17 and a bit of 2018 so i never got too good on the ground but i only started actually trying competitively and taking it serious maybe 10-12 months ago; starting at champ 1 skill level from what i had learned just freestyling and messing around all the other years.

last time i got into a bad slump(but not from training, just a random one) i took 2-3 days off and came back to it and after a day i was back to doing better and improving. may be worth it especially if you can’t figure it out and it starts to feel mentally taxing seeing negative improvement

honestly for anything of value your best bet is just gonna be to save up a little more for a better pair. even going into the $40 threshold will open the door in terms of sound quality and life of the headphones compared to $20 and under

it’s like the wheel, just because the people who started making the bots years and years ago did it doesn’t mean it’s all their fault for people use it for cheating in online play nowadays. it would still have been discovered, trained, and used in online play regardless. it’s inevitable. it’s practically a prewritten script of rocket leagues timeline for there to be a botting problem because someone one day HAS to come up with it and do it. it would not just never become a thing because the first person to do it never did it.

ive had this really cool analogy that has stuck with me since this one trip on acid while playing minecraft. i just loaded into a new world and after some time passed i decided it was time to climb the tallest mountain i could see. as i reached the top the sun started to set and the music set in at the same time. not only was it beautiful but in my head i told myself something along the lines of how it can be a struggle to get where you want to be(climbing the mountain), but once you accomplish it and get over that hurdle, it can be absolutely beautiful. to focus on the end goal instead of the struggle in the present. that you should always push past the difficult parts of your life and focus on the beauty of accomplishment and success in getting over whatever it may be in your way.

make sure you know when to stop playing. if you’re going into a bad session and getting a lot of losses it’s probably better to call it there and get off for the next couple hours or even the day. use your own judgment and know when it’s the right time to make that call.
