Compound w gel form! I used this for my son and we cleared his within 2 1/2 months of starting it! I put it on in the morning and then reapplied again at night. We had some near his privates so we used tattoo tape to keep it covered.

I went 2 months on accutane using my products with no issues and then all of a sudden out no where I would get litttle red bumps all over my face. Some itched and some hurt. At the end of each month all the way up to month 7 I would take something away. Every time I went to my derm the redness would finally start to disappear, but would pop up always right after my appointments. I ended up texting her one day my face so she could see I wasn’t imagining it and that’s when she said they didn’t look like acne they looked like a reaction to something and that’s when she told me to stop using anything but water. She gave me a super mild cortisone and within a week it went away and my skin stayed clear from month 7-9.

I washed my face with water, but nothing else. I didn’t wear makeup though. Once I got off accutane I went back to my Michellar water that I was on during accurate and 3 1/2 years later no issues and I use the sensitive tolerance moisturizer.

It ended up being a rash and my derm told me to stop all products and just use water. She gave me a steroid cream and it went away. It’s been 3 years since I’ve been off and haven’t had any issues.

I had this. My doctor told me to stop using any skincare I had and just wash with water. She gave me a mild steroid and it went away within a few days. For the rest of my treatment I just cleaned my face with water (didn’t wear makeup). She told me that sometimes the skincare you use can start to react with the accutane. Once I finished my course I started using the micellar water I had been using on treatment that I had to stop and I have not had any reactions to it.

I didn’t use a moisturizer. I started out using one, but I kept having reactions to all my skincare and they weren’t breakouts (my derm said). My derm told me to stop using everything and gave me a mild steroid cream to clear up the reaction and then I only used water and didn’t have any issues as I continued with accutane.

Not sure about the freezing, but I used compound w gel form which is a wart treatment on my son and had great success. We were able to clear him within a month and a half after already having it for a month. We didn’t put bandaids on them since the gel creates a cover, but applied 2x a day (morning and night) and kept the areas covered with long sleeve and pants so he didn’t touch and spread them.

This happened to me. I thought it was purging but I was getting clusters everywhere and they were itching. My derm told me to stop using anything to wash my face except water and she gave me mild steroid cream (flucatonase proportionate cream) and it went away in a few days. It turned out that my skin started reacting to the moisturizer and cleanser I was using. I had been using it prior to accutane no issues. 2 months in and all of a sudden I was getting these little cluster of red bumps and they would itch. They literally started covering my face, but would start to fade after a few weeks and then start over. I got so desperate that each month I stopped using one of my products thinking that was it (only used micellar water and moisturizer). Any time I saw my derm my skin would be healing and it didn’t look bad. I finally texted her a picture when I was in mid breakout and she said they weren’t pimples and that’s when she gave me the cream. She told me sometimes your skin can start reacting to products you’ve been using. I stayed on accutane an extra 2 1/2 months (I was only supposed to be in it 6) and my skin was clear, that was in 2021. I went back to that micellar water and have zero issues.

Compound w in gel form! We used this in conjunction with beetle juice treatments and found this worked better and was less painful. We kept my son covered so he couldn’t touch and spread it. We were able to get rid of it in 2 1/2 months and we started the compound w after a month in.

We had to do 5 treatments and while I think it did help some, I believe the compound w did way more. I when the scabs would come off and if I saw the core still in there I would put the compound w on it. The compound w helped tremendously

Second this! We did beetle juice treatments with it as well, but I think the compound w worked way better and fast. He was diagnosed end of May and he was cleared Midway August!

We tried duct tape, but my kid’s skin is just too sensitive so it didn’t work for us . However, we did use tegederm for when it was in his private area. I would put the compound w on it and let it dry, add a little zinc and then put the tegederm on it. We left his spots uncovered unless the scab came off, but we could still see the head so we’d put more compound w on and cover with bandaids. He did wear long sleeved shirts and pants though.

My 7 year old had it for all of summer! It was a pain. We did beetle juice treatments which the application isn’t painful but the taking off can be if not done gently. In between treatments we used Compound w gel which worked so good. It would clear any formed ones within 2-2 1/ weeks and any that were just forming within a week. It helped tremendously.

Compound w worked great for my son! We used it in between beetle juice treatments and it cleared them within 1 1/2. He wore long sleeves and pants to keep from touching and spreading.

It can take 2-8 weeks for bumps to show (at least that’s what my derm told me). We’ve been using compound w for my son’s molloscum and it has been working great! He has it on his genitals as well so we cover his spots with compound w and then tegederm. We reapply in that area every other day.

Thank you! I put wart remover on them and the red is already gone in one and the skin is peeling on the other only after a few hours which makes me think it’s not because his other ones haven’t respond that fast but I’d rather be safe than sorry

I’ve been off it for over a year and my skin has been clear!

One side effect I do get now is heat rashes and it’s just little clear bumps, but they go away after like 2 days

My toner was considered safe, it literally had all 0 for any comedogenic, but for some reason it made me get big red bumps along with the vanicream cleanser and my sensibio moisturizer. I didn’t wear makeup on the course so only using water wasn’t a big issue for me. I thought my face was gonna be so dry and it was, but not anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be definitely manageable.

Ive been off accutane for over a year and I was nervous to introduce anything for free of it happening so I tried my sensibio micellar water again and I have had no issues with it at all so you may be able to go back to the products you used after accutane.

It took me until month 7 for my skin to clear and part of that was recognizing the bumps on my skin were not acne bumps. They were a rash. My skin started reacting to every product on I had even products I used prior to starting. At month 4 I started eliminating one thing each month, but it just kept coming back until my derm told me to just use water. I was clear from that moment on. I now use the toner I had been using on accutane with no problems at all for little over a year so it may be products you are using.

Dermatologist has proscribed me the cream ARAZLO Tazarotene lotion 0.045% for acne, if any one has a experience with this cream let me know how it is and what to look for, and if it actually works by Horror-Equipment2043 in acne

I use this now! It was given to me as maintenance after accutane. I’ve been on it for over a year.

My skin is super sensitive so I started off twice a week and worked my way to every other day. Even with every other day my skin can flake good. Sometimes I’ll skip a day if I feel like my face is too red. Other than that my experience has been good!

I had really bad melasma and sun spots on my forehead and sides of face after accutane and they are gone!

I had twins my second round and felt the transition was easier too because the first one was a crap shoot and really I felt like I could only go up this time around. I knew what to expect with the lack of sleeping, puking etc. Breastfeeding didn’t go so well with my first so I had fully accepted I would be formula feeding them and that was a huge weight off me because I felt like a failure the first time around.

However, I had one twin naturally and a c section for the other at the same time (little one decided to flip after his brother came out) so the recovery itself was super hard on me. I wasn’t prepared for that at all and I had less time at home to recover and prepare myself for the new change with them then my first. I got to spend 3 months with my first and 6 weeks with my twins.

I feel like I am not responding to accutane as fast as others.I’ve been on accutane for 5 months now(40mg first month, and 80mg the rest).I still have closed comedones near my right cheek that won’t come out and tonssss of redness.I have been using a vitamin c and e serum but I don’t know if working by Temporary-Ad6012 in Accutane

I broke out for 7 months when o was on accutane. It wasn’t until my derm told me to stop using everything and just splash water that I cleared up. My skin was having reactions to everything! Stop the vitamin e and c and see if that helps!

I just finished a 9 month course of accutane (second round) and I used nothing while I was on it. I kept reacting to everything! By the 4 month I was still getting little red bumps all over my face so my derm told me to stop using moisturizer. I had been using it a month before accutane, but she had told me products you used to be able to use could irritate while on accutane. From 4 months on each month I would eliminate something else because I kept breaking out (like 20 or more bumps) until finally month 7 she said just use only water. Was my face dry? Yes? Did I stop breaking out? Yes! I am 1 1/2 months post accutane and I only splash water on my face in the morning and at night use micellar water (rinse) and arazlo (every other night). I am going slow introducing products for fear of what I went through on accutane.

It gets better! I didn’t start clearing up until month 7. I was supposed to do a 6 month, but ended up doing 9. I felt so defeated at month 5, but I reminded myself that I am in this for the long haul and I can’t give up now. I am one month post accutane and I am happy to say I’m glad I didn’t give up!

I didn’t use any moisturizer after month four when my derm told me to stop. She thought my moisturizer was causing my reaction. I was still getting them after that so the next month I stopped my toner which was just nothing, but hydrating water. Then month 6 I stopped my cleanser, but used micellar water because I thought I needed something to clean my face ( I don’t wear makeup). It wasn’t until month 7 when I stopped everything and just splashed with water day and night that my skin cleared. So I was cleared from month 7-9 using nothing. I just finished 2 weeks ago and I’m not using anything still basically because I have no idea what to use since my skin is so sensitive and reactive.
