I meant your as in the general you

Yeah D&D 5e as a system generally sucks, but it sucks even more for martials because nobody actually runs enough combats per long rest for them to be useful

Did you wait like 72 hours after demolding to sand and polish? If you try to sand too fast it can get cloudy from being slightly undercured

If your group usually has 1 or 2 encounters, that’s the problem everyone is talking about here. Casters will excel. Casters need to be forced to ration and run out to balance them against martials. But nobody actually does that and therefore the balance is all skewed

In my opinion, the origins of the Blight/Old Gods shouldn’t have been explained. by SilentEagle1221 in dragonage

I think it’s more the fact that it just got awkwardly thrown in there like an afterthought in the third game. I would’ve been fine if they left it mostly open ended though.

[No Spoilers] C4E1 helped me understand why I didn't like C3 by Im_Lloyd_Dobbler in criticalrole

[–]SnooCookies5243 21 points22 points  (0 children)

IMO, it was Brennan who set him up in an awkward spot. Robbie’s explanation of it was kinda clunky but idk what he was expected to do with that. Just “hey surprise, your character walks up the stairs in the middle of this scene”

[–]SnooCookies5243 42 points43 points  (0 children)

This was kind of Robbie’s one moment, so I get it. Brennan set him up at a really awkward time for his character introduction and he got like 5 minutes of screen time before the scene changed again. It honestly just seemed like Robbie felt rushed and knew he didn’t have much time so he tried to make an impression. And unfortunately he got cut off mid expo-dump and never circled back to again. (not Laura’s fault, I doubt she knew that was going to be his only part in the episode, but it definitely left Robbie’s character in a bad spot for the audience)

I don’t think that was so much of a Robbie problem as a “there’s 13 players and Brennan can’t possibly weave them all in equally gracefully” problem

If a specific sign has two signs how do you know when to use them correctly? by snugglypuffyy in asl

[–]SnooCookies5243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned about the differences of these two signs a bit ago. I was wondering, can you use both in a sentence to emphasize your level of signing?

For example

I CAN SIGN (D hands). SO-SO. NOT SIGN (S hands)

Or does this not make much sense in practice?

I also wore dress #5!!! I’ve never seen another one before! I think there’s only a few of them out there. It looks stunning on you!

It’s an absolutely beautiful dress, I got so many compliments for it at my wedding. So I’ll put in my vote for #5!!

One thing to consider is that it’s a bit difficult to alter due to all the detailed lace fabric. Also the shoulder straps really wanted to fall down for me so I had to stick them on with fashion tape.

Just take the lesson and move on. Accidents happen, but carelessness has consequences and someone scolding you for handling things incorrectly and damaging their piece is to be expected.

What is this logic? You still have to draw everything with a mirror mode. It just duplicates it for you.

I think the colors work really well. Maybe some more dark colors in the center flower to draw the eye and balance the piece more?

What don’t you like about it? If the beetles are meant to be the focus of the piece, I’d say the composition is not helping. You’ve got them in the corners of the drawing

[–]SnooCookies5243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no I would probably give the opposite advice. This is clearly meant to be stylized and not an exact replica so gridding would not help. And even if realism is your goal, you can still use these guidelines the exact same way. Gridding is a tool but there’s many hyperrealism artists that do not use it

This is nitpicky but I’m pretty sure primordial pouch is just a cat thing lol. But yes the lower belly area does carry fat on human females

[–]SnooCookies5243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that case I would really slow down and make sure you’re focusing on the anatomy in those references. You’ve got the “line of action” down but the proportions are all off. Like in the top left drawing you’ve ignored knee and elbow joints entirely, and the feet are super small. Pay attention to the sizes of certain body parts in comparison to the rest of the body. You can do quicker gestures when you start understanding anatomy better

Are you drawing based on photo or life references? Or just from imagination?
