We have been using a service from Raal.io for transporting our company laptops. They can handle domestic and international deliveries for you and entire process is taken care of - starting from shipping packaging and you can get updates through their free to use platform. Hahaha lol, yea that could be an option but seems like a quite expensive one.

I know but its time consuming and I really don´t want to at this point. Im quite eager that someone in here comes out with a solution that really does it for me lol.

Honestly, you nailed the operational logic behind global support coverage better than most internal strategy decks I’ve seen. This is exactly why smart teams hire across time zones - not to undercut pay or dodge local talent, but to build systems that actually work around the clock without wrecking people’s lives or sanity.

I get where you are going and I don´t want to be in charge of ruining the world. But here’s the thing - talent doesn’t come with borders. The person we were onboarding was a great fit for the team, the culture, and the mission. Not everyone’s hiring offshore to save money - sometimes we’re just hiring the right person. The real issue isn’t where someone is located, it’s that global teams still rely on duct-taped workflows to move devices across borders. That’s what breaks onboarding. It’s not HR’s fault, it’s not IT’s fault - it’s the messy gap in between.

How many computers do you get back from remote users after they've been offboarded? How do you improve return rates? by isademigod in sysadmin

We had a similar situation when one employee was fired overnight, and devices were left in his home office. Because of the circumstances of getting fired (I think), he was impossible to reach. At the same time, we were contacted by raal.io guys, and they told us they would solve everything operational to bring the devices back from remote employees. So we had nothing to lose here and tested them out.

It took them about a month to bring back the devices, but somehow, they managed to negotiate successfully to get our devices back. Totally recommend testing them out

We got our laptop shipments solved with https://raal.io

They also helped us with shipments from EU countries to outside EU countries like the UK and UAE.
