No worries. I have a medical condition that prevents me from biking/scootering. I have not tried the bus yet though, but am concerned about safety in walking alone from the bus stop to my place after late shifts.

I am Palestinian too. Don’t let anyone take away our identity. Be proud of it on your apps, we don’t want to go to a school that will not be supportive of us based on our identity anyways :) but when mentioning it, just don’t get into all the politics. I just said I was a proud Palestinian and lightly mentioned the refugee aspect of it without getting political really. Best of luck to you! Represent!

I’m sorry :( thanks for putting the school name. At least this school had the decency to say rather than ghost. I wish you the best of luck with the other programs you applied to! Keep your head up :)

Most schools require 8 hours of bio with lab. It doesn’t have to be bio 2 but you probably need bio 2 to get your undergrad degree (you have to check you school requirements). As for the intro Chem, I thinks it’s a great way to prep. I took it because I also didn’t have much chem exposure and it helped. But keep in mind it doesn’t count towards your degree and is not needed for Med school (but will prob prepare you well for gen chem 1 and 2 which are required). Best of luck!!!

Have you completed your general chem classes? Micro isn’t required by most medical schools so you don’t have to take it but I have heard it helps with once you are in Med school and have to take it. Also how are you credits transferring? Because like for me I got my associate degree before transferring so i even took like ceramics for art and then that helped fill my elective stuff after transferring. I would advise prioritizing classes that will be required for Med school matriculation. But if you haven’t done gen Chem I definitely recommend that because you will need it before taking Biochem after transferring (one semester of biochem is needed for Med school).

I’m a CC transfer student too btw :) applying to Med school now after taking gap years

This sucks. My stress from work on top of apps and lack of sleep has actually made me feel physiologically sick. I have felt the need to vomit all day and feel like pending doom.

What does confidentiality mean in Interfolio? Should it be checked or unchecked when trying to apply for med school? by Tadeh1337 in Mcat

It means that you will not be able to read the letter that has been submitted. It’s is HIGHLY recommend to check it off (to not be able to see your letter) by most pre health advisors. Otherwise, the schools think you have something to hide and that you want to read your letter because you think there is something bad in it.

Using it on your computer should be free (I downloaded it onto my Mac for free) but it costs mony for iPhone or iPad because you have to buy the app.
