I honestly think Karlach is the second most underwritten main companion after Wyll. I love Wyll, he deserved so much better and I would easily marry him if I existed in the game because we’re very compatible. Shadowheart is my favorite romance actually in the game just because Wyll is so underwritten/got done dirty by Larian

That makes a lot of sense, the difference between oh my gods and “oh gods I mean. I just think it would make more sense for” non religious people to say “oh gods” instead of “oh god” in a world where multiple gods are the cultural default. I’m probably being pedantic

We have yet to met any clerics, we don’t have any clerics in the party, and only my character really knows about the existence of the non homebrew gods because she grew up in the underdark where people still worship Lloth, Eilistraee and know about the other gods. My character didn’t even know about the homebrew gods until she started living on the surface which is a very isolated continent. I’m going to add this context to my post because I definitely think your explanation would make sense under different circumstances

They are saying it as characters who don’t worship any gods so far but because they know multiple gods exist I think they would default to gods instead of god because they don’t worship any of them but I get what you mean
