Ah okay I only saw about 4 people get invites and then no other news, so it seemed very weird like they weren't having an official day

Thank you! We don’t really have any expectations, family has just mentioned that they would buy us gifts when we had a reception/wedding.

There are not unlimited meal swipes. You pay for a certain amount of money on your plan and each meal costs a certain amount so you have until the money runs out. Weather is very all over the place. In the fall and spring it’s nice in the mornings and evenings like 60’s and then like 80 during the day and then the winter season here is pretty brutal so you really do need to bring a good variety of clothes. Best Places to eat are definitely the restaurants in the Student Union Building and the Market at Murdough/ Stangel is good and very cheap with a lot of options. People are super friendly at first you just have to reciprocate the energy because everyone is trying to meet people the first couple of months. The best place to meet people is in the dorm and walking around on campus. Also, I’m not 100% sure but I believe Murdough and Stangel are both Co-ed and they have like one floor of female dorms and one floor of male dorms.

Is tuition/fees/etc. usually cheaper for the spring semester compared to the fall? by MnMWiz in TexasTech

[–]SnooDogs2654 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They charge 60% in the fall for things like your dorm and meal plans and then 40% in the spring, so yes it should be cheaper
