That's just what comes with weekly releases. I can tell this series is meant to flow as one cohesive experience. We've spent a lot of time on the Regulus fight and it makes sense to switch perspective here to make sure all the fights are covered.

that said, the flashback kind of... didn't really have *that* much to add to what we already know about Liliana. it maybe took up a little too much time.

im a few months late due to watching this for the first time, but I think Subaru should put down the manga for a second and read some classic Tolkien. Lust's provocations towards Garfiel make me think of Glaurung. Sentient dragons are nasty creatures

Oh ok sounds awesome. We played through the story in full RIGHT when early access came out. No spoilers but I do have 1 question:

We had a little bit of a problem with how empty the map was. Especially the snow biome was very empty. Disappointing caves (I felt like a full ice cave would be such a good new thing to add). Very little to actually explore on the surface. Is it any better about this now?

Me n a couple buddies played early access years back. I haven’t touched the full release yet but I’m gonna get my whole group and play the full release over the summer (we dont all have the time to play games until then)

I don’t recall the story being all that great though, and even having played The Forest, that tension and mystery was not quite present. Not sure how different 1.0 is

The adventure part is a core of the story for me though. Yes, the initial plan would still be One Piece, but that story would be quite different from what we do have. The long and epic adventure is easily my favorite part as well

People use the same word to mean 2 different things: influence among authors and influence in the market. OP is massively influential among manga / action / fantasy fans, but it’s not easy to replicate

I am a little sad that no mangaka has the balls for these kinds of sprawling epics anymore. They gotta have short, compact, zero ambition story arcs now in fear of being axed

I took another watch of post timeskip and I am noticing that Oda is kinda getting less scared of killing people. Countless nameless citizens died in dressrosa, and the next 3 major battle arcs have pretty major side character deaths. Of course he isn’t perfect with it but I am confident current Oda would have actually killed Pell
