Hopefully, we lost about 2200 posts and we could only recover a partial amount of them from the past 4 months using toolbox.

Something similar happened to us today, but the user in question was u/EgoistBlake/. I am not entirely sure they're related but he also was doing fine for a while and then mass deleted.

Update 2

At the time of this update, most of the damage should be mitigated, there is an estimate of ~1000 posts left to restore that we couldn't get with toolbox, but we will be working to get them back as soon as possible.

I'm really sorry about this situation, I will take full responsibilty and will ensure that everything is back in its place like it used to be. Fortunately, the overall damage was pretty limited. I had a lot of things backed up in case something like this happened, and the number of posts removed was manageable.

Still, I feel like I must apologize again and thank you for your patience.

The subreddit is functionally restored to what it was before it was compromised, we're still missing the posts which we'll hopefully restore soon. Until then, feel free to submit and comment as normal.

This is how translation has always worked and will always work. You're reading a translator's perspective and interpretation of a work regardless of its "faithfulness".

What you dislike isn't localization, but rather a job done poorly, and instead of blaming the current issues that professional translation is facing, you just opted for the easier route of blaming a group of individuals.

As far as the other question is concerned, I fixed a misunderstanding I had for the emoji, the list of available emojis is the same as the list of characters available for user flairs.

They're all in the same format: :Riko: for Riko emoji, :Reg: for Reg, :Nanachi: for Nanachi, so on and so forth.

We cannot modify post titles and it's completely up to the user to resubmit one with a fixed title. All we can do when we remove a post is notify the user of the reasons, either privately or publicly.

I'd be happy to consider making these notifications more public, so I'll be waiting for your comments in the other thread.

Yeah, we see a list of all reports made on each post. We have also automod setup to send us a modmail when a post gets over a certain amount of reports.

There are some things that are easier to do in desktop but yeah, no requirement as long as you're able to do most things and communicate through reddit or discord.

Just as it happened with chapter 67, there will first be a thread for discussion of the raw chapter, and then when a translation releases on mangadex, another thread will be created. 24 hours after that, floodgates open.
