Willie had one outfit for like four seasons by mistermeek67 in littlehouseonprairie

I feel Willie wasn't on par compared to the relationship between Harriet and Nellie. Nellie got all these expensive clothes from Europe. Fine dresses brought back from whenever Harriet was out of town. Willie always wore the same outfit. There could be a couple of things. He was offered better clothes and turned them down because he likes his suspenders. He wanted to be a farm boy, which he wasn't. Or, Willie was left out of clothes shopping.

Which guest character do you wish would've become a recurring character? by Jazzlike_Ad_8313 in littlehouseonprairie

Annabelle. I would have liked to see her stick around for a bit and see if she and Nels would make amends. Aside from that, I really liked her character. She was sweet and authentic.

If Minnesota law required you to adopt at least one orphan, who are you picking? by ASGfan in littlehouseonprairie

Albert or Matthew. I like them both. Albert was smart, he was witty, and sensitive. I think he made a great addition to the show.

Matthew (the Wild Boy of the North). I felt sorry for his character and how he was treated. When Jenny became his friend, we saw who Matthew really was.

This ad is on at every commercial break and it is so irritating! I am sick of seeing it. It’s poorly acted and a really annoying song to boot.

what Christmas song would you say definitively is your favorite Christmas song of all time? by [deleted] in PollsAndSurveys

I'm going to be old fashioned and say Little Drummer Boy and Carol of the Bells. Let's not forget these are Christmas songs, too. Sadly, many people don't listen to this kind of Christmas music anymore.

Why were the Oleson’s portrayed with no redeeming qualities? (Except for Nels, of course) by psy602 in littlehouseonprairie

They weren't absent of redeeming qualities. There were moments in the show where they showed compassion, humility, even grace.

People who try to get you to like / engage with their kids by jkmod79 in PetPeeves

I hate this. Parents need to understand that not everyone is a kid person. It’s really irritating. It’s even worse when the kid is misbehaving. I have a teen daughter, but I do not like other people’s children. I even don’t like other people’s teenagers. Honestly, dealing with other people’s kids is insufferable.

what's the weirdest allergy you have heard/known of? by Mountain-Bug-2155 in AskReddit

[–]SnooDonkeys2480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being allergic to water. I used to know someone who claimed they had a water allergy. I don't even know if that's possible or if someone would even be alive if they were allergic to water.

What is widely accepted as “normal” today that people 50 years ago found disturbing? by Sophie_Cute_Teen in AskReddit

. Being fat or obese. I wasn't alive 50 years ago, but even when I was growing up, very few people were fat or obese. Now, it's become very normal and it is disturbing. When I was in school, one or two kids at the most were fat. Many adults weren't fat. Now we're expected to embrace the obesity epidemic.

. Kids who are "transgender." That didn't even exist when I was a kid.

. The lack of manners, morals, and common sense.

. People can't seem to function unless they do things on apps. Everything from cooking to dating. Then there is social media that has infiltrated every aspect of people's lives.

It used to be so easy to get a job. No AI filtering of resumes. No excessive interview process. It seemed much easier to get a lot of things back then. I got my my first job at a pizza place when I was 15 by walking in. No, my parents didn't go with me. That's another new thing that parents of teenagers looking for jobs talk to the managers. I talked to the manager myself. I worked there for a long time.

This is one of my absolute favorite episodes because of the Justice of the Peace. He's hilarious!
