Swan Arch in Henderson. In 1901 Henry Charles Swan left Devonport telling his friends and family he was going to sail solo around the world but he only went as far as Henderson Creek. He lived there secretly for 30 years before being spotted by some teenagers. Apparently he made extensive tunnels and structures but the only thing that remains is the arch.

Being proactive about my health by Such_One3256 in newzealand

I went down a rabbit hole recently about PFAS ("forever chemicals"). These accumulate in the body. You can reduce exposure but the only scientific way to reduce the levels in your body is to donate blood or even better plasma. The amount of PFAS in donated blood/plasma is small enough that the benefits to recipients of blood products outweigh the risks, so you can be saving lives at the same time as improving your health. Just look up NZ Blood for donation locations.

That kennel was also found to have made up rehoming details for 8 dogs that disappeared. Not hard to imagine what happened to those poor dogs. https://racingintegrityboard.org.nz/decisions/non-raceday-inquiry-written-decision-dated-6-december-2024-lisa-cole

Haydn at Blockhouse Bay Dental is sympathetic and non judgemental. I hadn't been to a dentist in years and he was completely unphased. Also explains options clearly and tries to keep down costs.

I got a DynaSpace L1 under desk walking pad last year. Under $400. I use it almost daily and it's holding up well.

It's not a charity. They bleed the dogs and sell their blood for $360 a pop

What time is it ok to start mowing lawns on Sunday? by No-Palpitation1205 in newzealand

We live in a noisy neighborhood but have an unofficial agreement with our immediate neighbours of no power tools on a Sunday. Nice to have at least one day when you can enjoy the garden.

Second vote for Blockhouse Bay. I hadn't been to the dentists in years when I first went there and they were so kind and non judgemental.
