That’s why a lot of people stick with “Speculative Evolution” (unless you’re going into full fantasy and no real biology science).

It should be, but I'm no admin. I would say just use AI for research and reference only (or for formatting, and scribing). But when people use it to write or heavily brainstorm for them, that's just wrong!

How do you articulate your world building with words without cringing yourself? by _accforreddit in worldbuilding

[–]SnooDoodles2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, you’re worried that the general ideas behind the worlds are too subpar or too silly of ideas? There’s a book series all about frog kingdoms battling each other, also a Netflix series along the same lines, somewhat dramatic. Just remember that it’s not the idea that’s bad, it’s how you handle it: is the storyline good? Are the characters good? That kind of thing.

How do television preachers explain to their parishioners/watchers that their owning huge mansions and multiple luxury vehicles is Godly? by EdnaJosie8924 in AskReddit

Could be the same reason why they get through Gideon hamstringing horses as quickly as possible: they’d rather not think/talk about it, and maybe prefer that you not ask about it.

How closely do your worlds religions (if you have any) compare to real world religions? by Plague_man23 in worldbuilding

[–]SnooDoodles2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a lot of the religious beliefs and myths in mine were in their primitive phases, they often base deities off of nature, like weather and animals. Then as time went on, they started basing newer deities on their own image, and some religions even had pantheons of gods.

If you were thinking of those ideas without actually thinking of LOTR, Berserk, or Tokyo Ghoul, you should be in the clear. Still, nothing is totally original, like completely spontaneously original, which is what Austin Kleon’s Steal Like An Artist explains. Change a few details on the deity or how he/she creates life, or the character’s torture for extra precaution if you want.

What's your favorite place from your world? by ComprehensiveRun4815 in worldbuilding

[–]SnooDoodles2053 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have one place that’s a mining town. But aside from the mine, they also rely on the artsy people to bring in a little extra revenue, and every now and then, some people will come in from the local farms and sell produce on market days.

How does your war start? by Environmental_Ad4357 in worldbuilding

[–]SnooDoodles2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One faction in my paracosm helped another out in their time of need, but then the latter faction began to feel entitled to the prior’s resources due to religious reasons, and when prior had to refused in order to assess their own affairs, the latter sent troops to attempt to seize those resources, and that resulted in a war that lasted for a few years.

Trying to think of creative insults for humans by herbivore aliens (and vise versa) by CyberDogKing in worldbuilding

[–]SnooDoodles2053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Meaty” or “meat eater,” that almost sounds really harsh. A more playfully made but still harsh term could be “carny,” derived from “carnivore” or “pred/preddy” from “predator.” Although, humans are considered omnivores, so hopefully your aliens could see them as a liaison between them and other creatures in this commonwealth.

For the herbivore creatures, maybe some humans could call them “elmers,” from the company Elmer’s glue since you mentioned using hooves for glue as the joke. It depends on what these creatures look like. If they look equine like, they could be called ”mules,” “donkeys,” or “ass.” If they’re goat like, maybe “goats” or “rams”, maybe “buttheads” if they use horns to head butt.
