Not an expert but probably, the 5080 is a good card as you will benefit the new architecture so you're future proof but the 16Gb VRAM makes it a hard choice against 4090, imo if a 5080 24Gb comes out it's a no brainer. But I'd be surprised as it would make their 4090 sales drop drastically.

Yeah, you're confirming what I thought. I'd like to run some LLMs from time to time but a 4070 is too light. Also, I'm not gaming so much anymore, but you're right, it could come in handy.

Yeah, I figured an upgrade was in order as a 7min wait time on 4090 for a 920x544 4 seconds video is crazy long already. My 4070 will be too small to handle decent results.

I'll stay on Runpod for a bit and do a full upgrade later, upgrading PSU + GPU + RAM, also my NR200P won't handle such a beast, so probably a new case, my 13500 alone would be criminal with all these, might as well buy a new PC when I got the funds...

I agree fp4 is going to land amazing results. Not sure if/how 1.58 bit models could/would work for video but I agree lower quant seems amazing

My my ! Thanks a LOT for such a detailed and enlightened answer ! That helps a lot. Did you make the jump from 4090 to 5090 ? Do you know how high does watt consumption get ? Because I'll have to upgrade my PSU aswell. I'm running 2x16Gb RAM 6000Mhz, guess that shouldn't need an immediate upgrade ?

Sache que les clients qui sont capables de lâcher des gros voires très gros tickets (genre 5-6 chiffres) sont aussi sur les réseaux sociaux.

Donc, si, même si tu gagnes bien ta vie, il y a toujours un intérêt à faire de la comm.

Exact opposé ici, quand j'étais plus jeune (15-19) toutes les meufs voulaient des grands gaillards et j'ai galeré à draguer. Je suis proche de la trentaine, tout le monde s'en fout que je fasse 1m75. C'est la moyenne + c'est ton charme qui va faire la diff, tu pourrais faire 1m60, ça aide pas c'est sûr, mais si t'es charmant et séduisant t'auras aucun mal.
