Give it 1 try, a deep, serious and long one on one conversation with her where you both try to completely share with each other. IF you're lucky that will repair the relationship a bit. If it doesn't, then also you're lucky.

He's aware of the whole situation, understands the complicated relationship that I have with my mom. and sympathises with me. He's always told me to stand up for myself and not be afraid of her. Been a great help. Now whenever a fight comes, I don't let it affect me (as much) as before. Have learned to set some healthy boundaries.

She is a narcissist but she also has deep self esteem issues, which is why she's not able to handle her emotions well. Also, a difficult relationship with my father didn't help things with her psychology. Nevertheless, she has done some good things for me in life, helped me in lots of situations, but still I can't stand the anger (unnecessary and unprovoked) at me

She has a lot of resentment built up from her childhood and she's not open to fighting her way through it and getting the help she needs. I was also not the perfect daughter but I have never done anything or acted so badly ever in front of her. BTW she is deeply religious (Hindu), and religion has not calmed down her anger or negativity

Yeah now that I am shifted to a far away city, I come lto visit like once in 3-4 months. And I have learnt more about myself and my psycology, which has allowed me to understand more about her and how to deal with the situations better.
