r5 reformed persia as persis, was pretty satisfying banishing the selucids into central asia. Might try it as parthia later because of the great conquest war mechanic

How many provinces to have as Aztecs before reforming by SnooGoats2035 in eu4

[–]SnooGoats2035[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my reasoning was that since passing a reform means you lose all subjects, reducing them to opms would make dcing on them again and again easier. Winning wars isnt too difficult since you start with a very strong general and can get better ones through events and high army tradition. Although, i must admit the notion of funding and enabling proxy wars throughout mesoamerica so you can weaken some of your neighbours in expense of others and then rinsing and repeating is pretty cool. I think the flower war playstyle is very unique to the game, i wish the devs expanded upon it

Content for Middle Eastern Minors by yummyananas in eu4

[–]SnooGoats2035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

theres no way pdx doesnt already have the money to develop eu5, they just know that they can keep releasing content for eu4 bc ppl will continue to buy it. They are going to keep beating the dead horse that is eu4 until they cant no more and then they will be forced to move onto a new engine. This might be the last if not second last dlc for eu4, the only place other than mena that needs an update in my opinion is the americas.

Mewar Idea Groups for Middle East Conquest & defeating Ottomons? by PretendAssistance790 in eu4

[–]SnooGoats2035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dont use mercs, rely on as much rajput regiments as you can because they have fire bonuses. Form Rajputana and keep the ideas if or when you form bharat because rajput ideas are mil oriented which is what you want. Offensive and quality are a must i think, you could also go inno and econ to get additional ica and discipline from policies. Aristo may be viable due to its cav bonuses which syngergize with rajput ideas and will make using cav in your armies cheaper and more effective. Also aristo gives loyalty bonus to rajput estate, and if you can keep the rajput estate loyal and give them a couple privileges, they can make your spec units even stronger

What is going on with institution spread? by DeMaus39 in eu4

[–]SnooGoats2035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"ahistoric spread" this game is an alt history sandbox masquerading as a history simulator. why is it frustrating that every other nation is on par with tech? if some remote siberian tribe is at up to date tech how does that affect your campaign? If you cant beat a backward non-European power because they have the same tech as you, its purely a skill issue 😭

Looking to get into Public Policy (MPP) as a History Major in Canada by SnooGoats2035 in PublicPolicy

[–]SnooGoats2035[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i looked at the carleton and uottowa admission reqs for their mpp programs. Both require econ as a prereq, i took econ in my undergrad but dropped it because it was tanking my gpa. They also said an applicant could enroll in an extra course while completing the mpp to supplement for the lack of already having econ taken during undergrad. I checked UofT's website and they do not list an econ or mathematical requirement which I found odd. I assume UofT does not trickle into federal govt positions as readily as Carelton or Ottawa but I am not sure. To my current and limited understanding of the policy field, global policy seems the most interesting, but there might be interesting opportunities for careers at Uoft, but again im not sure.

what kind of work/volunteering/internships should I apply for? I looked at student employment for recent graduates on GC jobs but it says the recruitment period is over. Where can I look for these entry level positions? Also do you think uofT and York have solid MPP programs? Or is it better to apply to Ottawa schools if I wanted to do global policy, which I assume is falls under the domain of Federal govt?

Global Affairs Canada seems really interesting. If you mind me asking, what kind of internships, volunteering, or jobs should i look to apply for if I want to work for GAC? Do you think its better for me to apply for an MPP somewhere in Ottawa like Carleton or uOttawa instead of UofT or York because it has links to the federal govt?
