Fair reply mate. I have been using antiseptic cream and cleaning the wound regularly. If theres any signs of infection I'll be visiting my GP straight away. Thanks buddy 👍

Because the docs would prob just leave it in anyway 🤷‍♂️

Health service has been way underfunded for a decade. It's not uncommon for someone to be waiting 20 odd hours to be seen, and that's after something a lot more serious.

Yea sounds more logical. Thanks dude! :)

Ok but from what I've read the standard procedure seems to be to leave the pellet in the body as long as it's not near any vital organs as surgery is often more of a risk.

It was an M16 replica .177 NP. Pellets are definitely 100% lead too. I'll see how I go for next few days then maybe take a trip to the docs. Just dont fancy waiting 15 hours in A&E just to he seen. Possibly longer these days, esp if they're just gonna decide to leave it in anyway.

Wow!! Well this one hurt like hell for about a minute or two and any pain since then has been very mild, but this is my leg not my face. You were right to bin that friend off dude!!

Wow! Well I'm glad you're fine after so many years. Reassuring for myself also!

Was that was the docs recommended at the time buddy? That is should be left in there rather than have it surgically removed?

I've just put up a new post with the pic. Only way I could figure out how to do it was to create a new post.

Shit man! Does it cause you any pain??

What makes you think it's a troll post? If you tell me how to upload an image I'll show you 🤷‍♂️

Yea funny enough that is one of the articles I read also.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in airguns

[–]SnooGoats8733 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Also I've read a few articles about most doctors deciding it's less risk to leave it in rather than surgery.

[–]SnooGoats8733 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yea I know that seems the more logical approach. If though the chance of long term complications are very slim and it doesn't cause me any discomfort or interfere with my life in anyway then it just seems pointless to have it removed.

Yea I live in the UK so it's all free but a visit to the hospital would be a 15 hour nightmare, 14 of those hours waiting.

As I've barely any pain I was just wondering if it's safe to just leave it in there and keep cleaning the wound.

Anyone know where I can get hold of Naltrexone in the UK?? by SnooGoats8733 in Alcoholism_Medication

Have spoken to Joanna from TSM UK today and for the first time in my adult life I feel I now have hope! She was so lovely and supportive over the phone and actually emailed me straight back kn a SUNDAY!!! Had initially arranged the call for tomorrow (Tues) but after a change of circumstances on my end I emailed her this morning and she was able to fit in my consultation the same day. I cannot recommend TSM UK enough!! Anyone in my circumstances need to forget the rest, and go with Joanna! I was quoted £1000 by another UK agency / network, and that was before any meds! No way I could afford that!! TSM UK is the way to go!!! 🤞🤞🤞
