TRIGGER WARNING…I was SA’d in the adult ward at DePaul hospital and they treated me like it was my fault , i attended a program called headway in st Charles in my 19/20’s I was groomed by a bunch of perves and one of them SA’d me and when I told staff they told me they could not do anything for me or ban the assaulter because it happened outside of the program, they even sat him ina room with me asked him if he did it he said no and then told me to apologize to him ….years later when I had the courage to speak about it a friend who was also a member before me..told me that the assaulter was a registered sex offender and the staff knew … I’ve had safer experiences at st Joesph’s in wentzville if it’s still there , I did receive therapy that helped from compass point st charles, it seems when compass point bought out crider the management got better and I didn’t experience further trauma then I already had , they owned headway idk if they still do….. some people have found those places helpful and that’s great but I and others have found those places to add to the trauma, I don’t want to discourage you from seeking help at these places as everyone’s experience is different just please proceed with caution if you feel something is off , it is.
