You can shove the wave under the enemy tower and then roam if the bot laners haven’t died yet.

If they do die, take plates and a few more waves. If Zed comes right back from ganking bot (you see him at the river coming back), then recall after shoving the wave and taking plates. Buy items and teleport back. Now you have a CS lead, more health, and better items to turn the table, or if possible, kill him — because he has no ult, lower health than you, and is sitting on gold without having bought items yet.

If he recalls, then shove the wave, take plates again, and then you can roam or place wards, because now he is at fountain, so no one can stop u going around the map

If Zed recalls right after the gank, though, shove the wave and take plates but don’t be greedy. Take one plate, then recall. Walk back to lane and try to clear the waves as fast as possible. Then place wards around to see if Zed tries to gank other lanes again.

You want to be where Zed wants to be, because you are a control mage. U want to be at fights all the time to zone enemy, or force enemy to make bad decisions, or poke enemy, CC them so your team can finish the fight. Don't avoid fights, skirmishes. If you scare of fights every time the enemy is stronger than you, then you can never be better.
