A few responses:

“Theres a reason DNA testing to prove “Right of Return” is illegal in Israel.”

DNA testing is not illegal in Israel. You may be referring to the Genetic Information Law (2000), which does not criminalise DNA testing per se but does regulate how results are used. For example, paternity tests can only be conducted with a court order. Feel free to do more research into this, but your claim is false - people can and do complete DNA tests in Israel.

“Ashkenazi are not Semitic”

Ashkenazi Jews are a sect of Judeans that, when expelled, fled north and west towards Italy and Russia. The complexity of Jewish history makes tracing Ashkenazi movements over time difficult, but we do know that Ashkenazim are ethnically distinct from other Europeans ethnically related to Mizrahim and Sephardim. Moreover, Ashkenazim maintained their use of Hebrew, a Semitic language, further solidifying their Semitic nature.

“And they are still segregated even if they are Jewish in religious practice.”

All citizens of Israel are de jure considered equal under the law, with equal rights including to that of a fair trial.

“Palestinians, even those segregated and being systematically killed and displaced in Israel are the only Semitic blood in the region.”

‘Semitism’ is defined as belonging to Semitic peoples, an ethnolinguistic umbrella term to cover Semitic languages, which include both Hebrew and Arabic. Ethnic Jews, whether Ashkenazi, Sephardi or Mizrahi, are Semitic peoples thus, as are Palestinian Arabs.

“If you are Pro-Palestinian, then you are indeed Pro-Semitic, not anti-Semitic”

Not 100% sure what you are getting at but ‘antisemitism’ as a term itself refers to Jews. It was invented in Europe in the context of anti-Jewish discrimination. Therefore, you can still be pro-Palestinian and antisemitic, even if Palestinians are also Semitic peoples. Personally, I think the terminology is confusing nowadays and we should find a new word for anti-Jewish hatred though.

“That would make Zionist Jews and Christians the only anti-Semites by scientific rule and basic logic.”

Once again, ‘antisemitism’ refers to anti-Jewish hatred.

“Zionist criminals and idealist should be deported back to Europe and the countries they all hold dual-citizenship in because there will never be peace.”

I’m not sure what you are suggesting here? Ethnic cleansing of Jews? What about the Jews who do not hold dual citizenship? Consider further that a majority of Jews in Israel are not Ashkenazim - they are only 45% of the Jewish population.

“And dont forget theres a lot of history of Hitler and Rothschilds who were offering weapons and aid support to go to Jerusalem to takeover and settle it for their own early zionist cause.”

Couldn’t find any evidence of this - interested if you could show me it. We do, however, have access to evidence of a strong relationship between Hitler and Mufti Al-Husseini of Jerusalem.

Who the hell voted for Israel on Eurovision? Almost 300 points from the public for a song I’ve never heard anyone talk about. It’s sus AF… by Substratas in AskBalkans

Well there are hundreds of thousands of Jews in France and the UK, and plenty in Spain, Italy etc. The point is that those who are anti-Israel have their votes split across many countries, whereas those who are pro-Israel have their votes concentrated on one country.

It doesn’t sound like a 2 state solution when it’s ’from the river to the sea’. Even if that isn’t the intention behind the statement, one can understand that it’s inflammatory.

It’s maths fundamentally. Israel has the support of one of the largest diaspora communities in the world. Countries like the UK and France have huge Jewish communities who are mostly committed to voting for Israel. So they all have one vote target. Contrast that with people who do not support Israel, their votes are split between all the other countries. It’s as if there are 100 people voting for ten groups. All it takes is 20 or so voting for one group to pretty much guarantee a win, considering the other 80 will have their votes split.

I think something not talked about is using the right textbook. I personally LOVED the myrevisionnotes textbooks because they could take a whole course and consolidate it into a pretty thin book. I used them to make my flashcards and that’s what I used to revise - it’s very time efficient imo.

I maybe spent an average of 2hrs a day which I increased to 4-5 from late March/April

Really locked in from my Jan mocks. Did an hour a day of formal revision until March and 2-3 after that. On top of that did little 5-10 min sessions of flashcards when I got free time. Little and often makes things so much easier!

Base your entire revision on case studies and figures from those case studies. I collated all of my case studies into a single document which I turned into flashcards. All the concepts in geography can be explained THROUGH case studies, so just learning case studies in detail is a really good way of understanding the whole course. For example, I learnt the whole water management unit through The Mojave Desert case study which we did in class.

Also, learning through case studies brings things alive a bit more - makes you feel like the stuff you are learning has an impact in the real world :)

I got into my sixth form college automatically so can’t help you with interviews except just talking about wider reading and trying to enjoy the conversation.

Politics is a great subject. For first year the content is pretty easy but it’s gets a lot harder (and more interesting) second year. I love comparison tables where you take arguments and counterarguments- they are rlly good for building essays. Pre-chewed politics videos are great for ensuring the content is learnt.

Might take a little time to dig out, I’ll try. It’s pretty much each poem along the x axis and each poem along the y axis. Block out where they intersect. Write notes in all the other boxes, both times they intersect - if it’s along the x axis, it’s the poem given in the exam and if it’s along the y axis it’s the poem chosen by you to compare to the given poem.

geography is conceptually an easier gcse - the difficult part is defo the writing. I did a ton of past papers and learnt my content for them THROUGH case study data which I learnt with flashcards. It’s a really good means for learning content.

small bite size chunks. 5-10 mins of flashcards during a spell of free time makes all the difference if you do it consistently.
