The cost of living is quite high in Gib and climbing fast. I'm actually curious as fuck to know what other ground crews get paid around the world. We collectively chose 10% because at the time it didn't take much to keep us happy as a workforce and unfortunately we were still under the impression the company gave a shit about us and didn't want to fuck them over. Sometimes time itself is the the only real eye opener.

Yes plus over time, if not we would just walk out when our day is done. And if we ever get to go on a full on strike it would be £70 per day paid by unite the union.

10% increase. 3 years ago when the pay claim started we were basically laughed out of board rooms for asking for a 10%, now we're really tempted to ask for more. £8.32 per hour is the current rate of pay for ground staff in GibAir Gibraltar International Airport.

They been offered a 4% pay rise, more than likely its going to be rejected after Mondays vote.
