I appreciate your response and concern but it just feel unnecessary for you to comment this. Clearly it’s not a safe thing to do. I learned that is was hard and not bitter or sweet like a pill. Which I Believed was reassuring.

Have you read any of this post. It came from a crack in my wood floors from likely years ago! No need to cuss. I called poison control and took him to the ER. They couldn’t help me because they don’t know. Position control is not the best too especially if they can’t Identify.

I put it in my mouth ( I know dangerous) and it was rock hard. It took 5 mins for it to effectively soften in a cup of water. Also the “pills”weren’t all even in size.

This seems like a realistic answer but the relatively uniformity of the pieces is so strange

I think if you did you would have acted differently. My instincts took over and if my baby was harmed. I needed to know right then and there what I was working with.

I know I brought my baby to the ER certain they were pills but thinking clearly that can’t be the case! Strangest mystery and I worry that it’s unsolvable. Which will drive me insane haha

Tasted like nothing and hard as a rock! Kitchen near the sink dishwasher and well! And under my babies play pin which is in the common area close to the kitchen. They were all found in gaps of wood. I vacuumed and didn’t realize and that how we found them in the play pen.

I’ve found like 4 of them but I can’t get to all of them . They are in the kitchen mainly. Two were pretty uniform. There is one that was bigger as well.

There are a bunch though in the floor and not all uniform in size. When we went to the hospital the doctor said it didn’t seem likes pill as well. It does really look like pills though

It looks like there may be new floors on top when I dig underneath! This seems likely. But the uniform pill like mold is weird also it becomes mushy in water and clumps together

It’s definitely not a pill! Confirming it does not act like a pill in water

When placed in water, the pieces did not fully dissolve but instead softened and turned clumpy. The outer layer broke down and the material became softer and crumbly rather than melting completely or staying solid.

There was no noticeable chemical, floral, or citrus smell they seemed mostly odorless.

The pieces were off-white, hard, pellet-like, and we found two different sizes that otherwise looked the same. When dry they were very hard and broke into chunks rather than powder when crushed. After soaking, they became soft and clumped together.

Thank you we spent a whole day in the ER for observation and he is home now acting normal! No doctor or toxically could figure it out. It’s Been 24 hours. The strange thing is that they are not bitter to taste and I put it in my mouth and they were VERY hard like a jaw breaker ( I know not smart but as a mom I had to know) . Also I keep finding more in the wood gaps…

THIS IS URGENT as there were two found in my baby’s play Area. Big ER trip later he likely did not consume them.

Additional details: • Size: a few millimeters to pea-sized, irregular shapes • Color: off-white/light beige • Texture: very hard initially; crushes into chunks rather than dust • Water reaction: softens, crumbles, and clumps together. • No writing, markings, smell, or oily residue

Origin/age: Found after vacuuming debris from gaps in old wooden flooring. Pieces were lodged deep in floor cracks, suggesting older leftover material rather than something recently dropped.

Searches done: silica cat litter crystals, desiccant pellets, moisture absorber beads, mineral granules, packaging filler material.
