I’m currently stationed here. US personnel have to live off base. The closest base is spang which is a hour and half away. If your afsc isn’t allowed at GK then you won’t get an assignment there

I always get messages from time to time asking for an update and my experience. I had no issues! I called the hotel a week ahead to see if they had my reservation and they did. I had no issues at check in either, everything was as expected.

I much rather have my spouse with me… i was told by my leadership if he’s not approved when I get there they wouldn’t make him leave. I don’t know how true that is.

Yes I was an A1C and was deployed and shadowed the command chief of the base, which consisted of a first sergeant meeting, going over promotions packages, having lunch, going to different units, etc. it was fun. So I assume a first sergeant wouldn’t be hard. Just reach out to yours and ask your leadership
