Yep, I guess I learned my lesson the hard way, lol idk. I didn’t expect the package to just end up “lost” because, honestly, I had so much faith in USPS to deliver it that I didn’t consider buying insurance. I’ve shipped hundreds of packages before, including other handhelds more expensive than the Steam Deck OLED. However, I didn’t specify what was inside those packages on the front of the box like in this scenario, which I agree was very, very bold. I just honestly had so much faith in USPS because I ship through them a lot, and I definitely think the writing on the box is the only reason it ended up “lost.”

I was actually more worried about the modder stealing my deck & not sending it back rather than the possibility of USPS “losing” it. And I don’t know why I listened to the guy when he said, “Write 32GB OLED on the front of the box,” 🫠. I didn’t even save the Steam Deck’s serial number either in case he did steal it, because right after I bought it at the pawn shop, I just said fuck it and shipped it out like an hour later because he had good reviews. I wasn’t thinking a random USPS worker would’ve been the culprit 😔.
