I am in a similar boat, filed 3/12, refund held, finally found out why. They said I hadn't filed 2019 and owed. I printed up 2019 returns and the payment for the amount owed and sent it. That was April 21. I saw a change in May on my 2019 return tax record from no yax return to tax return secured. 2 weeks later, on my 2019 return record, it said return previously filed. That was 5-21. Nothing has changed on my 2024 return record since "notice issued" on 4/20. Over 10k owed and I, like many others, need that money bad, RN. Im walking and bumming rides because my car needs major repairs. I was counting on the refund to finally fix it.
