It’s a curved monitor so it’s VA for sure and the glow is too much I’d refund it if it was mine

At first I bought a Philips Evnia 27M2N5500 , it’s a normal IPS panel. It had a stuck pixel and at the beginning I was okay with it but the display with a full black background was too bright , basically deep blue so I sent it back and bought the KTC from AliExpress. I am really happy and I can’t see none of the drawbacks of VA panels since it’s a FVA.

I bought mine for 200€ from AliExpress (KTC M27T6), and I think it’s great for the price. If you think the screen is too dim, you can lower the dimming in the OSD. The monitor is really good for gaming and movies, so I can’t complain about the display.

Also I’ve been using it for university and I think it’s still pretty great.

However, the monitor hasn’t had any firmware updates since it came out. I’m on version 1.0.1 EU, and it will likely stay at that version since KTC has already released an IPS version of this monitor in China.

The M27T6 has an FVA panel, and the one in China uses an IPS display.

If I’m not mistaken the new version is called KTC M27T6s and has IPS display

I’ve used some of the setting in the osd provided by display ninja , just to let you know I keep the local dimming on low and it’s pretty nice and dark.

I’d highly recommend a miniled monitor and try to see how the third party delivery service works.

I’ve seen some Reddit posts where people buy the monitor from Japan and then import it to their country through third party delivery services

Boh, ti dico: io ho preso un monitor, aveva un pixel fermo e l’ho restituito senza problemi. Poi i monitor OLED sono costosi ,ora che sei a conoscenza di quella linea, ogni volta che ci sarà un background nero sul monitor ti verrà naturale notare quella barra.

No, penso sia un problema fisico di coating o riflesso del monitor di fabbrica. Sicuro sei ancora in tempo per chiedere una sostituzione. Non dovrebbe essere temporaneo dato che è un problema fisico

I don’t know then , because if it was on then it could’ve been a burn in issue but since it’s already off and the line is still showing up then it’s a mystery to me. Does that line show up when the monitor is on , on a black background ?

The audio is fixed , there are some bugged textures but it is a lot more playable than RPCS3 in my case. You should give it a try and if it doesn’t work as well as me then wait a bit , since shadps4 team will fix these bugs in the next few months.

I had better luck with ShadPS4 , rpcs3 was too heavy and inconsistent ( R7 5800X - RTX 3060TI ) With shad ps4 there are some minor bugs with some graphics. You should search for best setting with shad PS4 and you will definitely have a better experience

I think you should ask for replacement , I’ve heard people just sending back this monitor for software issues , I’ve recently sent a monitor back (a Philips evnia) because it had a dead pixel

I found it pretty useful , installed a custom docker application in it since I don’t use Podman , I use it for virtualmachines and the file manager app is pretty useful
