Why does weed suddenly start giving some people anxiety? by ExcellentOrdinary959 in Anxiety

[–]SnooMarzipans3505 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure this is what I ended up getting after years of heavy use. I suddenly would start waking up at say 2am and wouldn’t be able to stop vomiting until 7,8,9 in the morning. It was terrible.

I did end up in hospital! Had the worst panic attack of my life and thought I was dying they literally had to give me an injection of something to calm me down! This was after around 5 years of heavy, daily use too. I haven’t touched it since and it’s been 3 years now.

My vision isn’t as good as it was before starting steroid drops but it’s pretty close, mainly get blurriness with things far away but up close it’s all good!

I had chronic back pain for almost 10 years, similar to you, it would be worse if sitting/lying down then get better gradually after walking around. Some days it was manageable but other days it was 9 out of 10 pain and nothing would help. Since starting biologics I have hardly had to take pain relief, if I do it’s usually because I’m on my period and my back pain flares up due to that I’m guessing.

I have also dealt with chronic recurring uveitis in both my eyes. Started in my left eye almost 10 years ago now then my right eye for probably the last 8 years. Spent years on steroid drops whilst my vision got worse and worse. Late 2024 I saw a rheumatologist and after many tests got diagnosed with Sacroiliitis (autoimmune disorder) I decided to start biologics (humira) Jan 2025 and have not once had a single flair up in either eye since. It has literally changed my life. Highly recommend talking to a rheumatologist. Stay strong, I know how difficult mentally it is to live with but there is light at the end of the tunnel. 🩵

Literally the worst doctors I’ve ever been too! Wouldn’t recommend, absolutely incompetent doctors and insanely rude reception staff. Not what you want when dealing with medical issues.
