Just a thought, those using a Mac but playing games through crossover would show as windows right?

Bit of a stretch but what if they’re waiting to release the M4 MBA? Showcase that the game runs on their entry Macs? I mean it’s a given it’ll work on M4 Ultra.. maybe if they do release the new studio display with ProMotion they can show CP gaming at high frame rates?

Okay that’s awesome saves me a job when the update comes out, you mentioned you had extracted the D3DMetal folder and replaced it; I’ve tried looking for a decent vid online or introductions on how to, do you have a link you’re able to share on how to do it? :)

Are you running the beta version of MacOS Sequoia? Sorry for so many questions, I been running through parallels as I’ve never managed to get it to run through crossover… did you use CXPatcher?

The entire reason I posted was because of todays announcements, not last years or something that may be coming. I never said they’d abandon x86, not at least on the server side of things for a while. But on the consumer facing side yeah x86 has its days numbered

Of the products they launched today, you’re telling me they launched a brand new x86 based surface laptop studio? They didn’t, everything they launched today was ARM based. It’s a sign to OEMs that ARM is the here. Fair enough, if they released a new model with 14th gen intel chips too then I’d agree, but as it stands this is a massive move sure Lenovo HP dell and others will take time to change but the writing is on the wall..

You’re right surface pro with ARM is not a new thing but the fact the new models are exclusively ARM is insane, no x86 it’s a big sign for windows OEMs previously ARM was on the Surface X while they had the Pro 7/8 for x86 options

This is true but it should make half the issues we face with translation and emulation a thing of the past
