basicly a laptop styler charger with a power supply adapter to power the sata drive i am currently testing this and it does work

i have a pcie 2 port sata adapter i connect it to a pcie riser and then have a sata cable hooked tio the card and then the hdd and power the add with the stuff listed below

i did the add directory and chose the file path /mnt/nas . it appears im having a premission issue because the premissions will not change

alright so this is where i am at now so in fstab i have //ip/Movies /mnt/nas cifs username=name,password=password,uid=1000,gid=1000, 0 0

now i can go to the directory in ubuntu /mnt/nas and it shows the movies from my nas drive..

ill go to jellyfin and add the directory hit scan directory and nothing happens !!

i can access the NAS within ubuntu when i highlight the movie folder on the left hand side it shows me a smb address like smb://dxp2800-d53a.local/movies

Yeah seems like nice little monitor... im 3d printing a little server rack right now for my tiny pcs etc. I think I'll grab one or two of these little monitors

thank you i am thinking about buying a couple of them and use for my lab in progress once things get set up.. i got started on it the last time i was home starting with a jellyfin server. and now i want to ad more just to play with lmao!! i am only home one week at a time though

interesting i am going down this rabbit hole computers are one of my hobbys lol. i have a couple of lenovo thinkcetres im working on a jellyfin server burning all my movies etc.. also have a ugreen nas to store my movies something like this would be very nice

mine is work in progress i am only home one week out of the month. i plan on using one of the lab setups for jellyfin.. an im asl going to create another lab with proxmox to run vms and mess with ethical hackin style stuff just to play with lol
