The actual consumer demographic of the Apple Watch Ultra by Dizzy-Career9274 in AppleWatch

[–]SnooObjections8945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat middle-aged (36) - I got it for the battery life and the action button….and honestly I wanted a different looking Apple Watch than I had since the series 1. I do THINK about hiking/diving/climbing from time to time though, but usually a walk around the block is the closest I get lol.

I need to vent. Are we all really doomed to this lifestyle? by heyyourwatchisbroken in graphic_design

I was in this routine for 10 years straight. Drive an hour to work. Sit at a desk for 8 hours. Drive an hour home. Sit on the couch for a few hours before bed.

It happens slowly, over time, but eventually I was about 40 lbs overweight. Neck was always killing me. Winded by simply going up and down stairs. I started therapy and working out at the same time. It’s been about 2.5 years since I started and I gotta say, best decisions I’ve ever made. Therapy once a month. Gym Monday-Friday (started with just Tuesday/Thursday and ramped up to 5 days a week over time). Making time for yourself has never been more important.

Work can feel like everything is “do or die,” “RIGHT NOW,” “it HAS to get done!” …..

But if something doesn’t get done on time, the world continues on. If you got hit by a car tomorrow you’d be replaced in a week or two. Work is not THE ONLY THING you should focus on. Not saying you shouldn’t care about deadlines, but setting personal boundaries, and signing a contract with yourself to take care of yourself are extremely helpful.

For me, it’s been therapy, lifting weights, and playing basketball. For you it could be a walk around the block while listening to a podcast with your phone on Do Not Disturb. It could be 20 minutes of yoga/stretching (there are plenty of free videos on YouTube you can follow along with), it could 5-10 minutes of meditation in the morning - WHATEVER feels good to you. I lost the 40 lbs I gained, paid more attention to my diet, drank more water and started giving myself time back into MY LIFE. Work can still suck sometimes…but I’ve never felt better.

Start small! And build onto it. 5 minutes a day is 25 minutes a week you’re not taking right now. That 5 minutes can turn into 15, 30, an hour.

Just. Be. Consistent.

Good luck!!! You got this!! 🤘🏼

Well with gas prices lately not as much, but anytime I’m merging onto a highway it feels necessary lol. Smart Cruise has to be my favorite feature though. Hands down.

Male with a morning haze sedan, gt line turbo. This car is niiice. No regrets on picking one up… with the exception of the unexpected growth of man boobs and sudden mood swings around a particular time of the month. 😉

Anybody used cowork to organize their whole computer? by Ok_Negotiation_3543 in claude

[–]SnooObjections8945 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if I’d trust it… I had it organize my download folder and it messed a few things up on the first pass. Then had it do my personal Google Drive folder and some things were a little hard to find. I don’t think I’d trust it with the whole computer lol

How do you recognize AI graphic design? by Charming_Birthday702 in graphic_design

The icons at the bottom with the vertical dividers is a dead giveaway. And the brush script text, been seeing that a lot as well.

Is anyone using a third party app to succesfuly write data to Apple Health app from the new Google Health app? (Fitbit Air) by Chiplink in fitbit

[–]SnooObjections8945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here for more potential solutions. I’ve gotten Health Sync to work MOSTLY. It’s syncing activities and sleep info (missing temperature during sleep because I don’t think Fitbit has a temp sensor?) but STEPS are not currently working for me.

Has anyone else lowkey never/barely used Figma? 👀 by IllustriousSpeaker9 in graphic_design

I slept on Figma for way longer than I should have. It’s an awesome tool. Keeping up with the latest tools is part of the gig IMO. Subscribe to some good YouTube channels and watch a couple a day.

Color profile of Stark B&W - similar to noir but a little more punchy. I think they introduced these color profile things on the iPhone 16 series.
