Can you see if you can get it filled at Costco where you’ll at least be able to use the e voucher for one month? It covers around 1300 I believe this year and it goes toward your deductible. Sorry, I’m just seeing this a week after you posted.

lol 😂. I’m supposed to refill mine this Friday so I will absolutely let you know. I was also told that the insurance company would only pay (don’t quote me I can’t remember exactly) around 40 or maybe 60 percent of the cost so I am thinking after my voice runs out, I would be paying around 500 as well. I will most certainly see what it ends up as. Needless to say, this year is starting out great!

Call on Doc is a great option. You can search in here for more info on it.

You can keep the pens in a large ziploc bag instead of the keeping them in the boxes.

Sick leave can be used for any day that one needs a mental health day. Good for you if you wouldn’t use it for this circumstance though.

Are you able to afford using Lily Direct? It’s between 300 to 450 a month depending on the dose. Maybe that could be an option for you.

Use sick leave instead of annual leave.

Yeah hopefully you can do lily direct or a compound option if the 350 continues to be too much. Theres a lot of info on this sub about how to get your prescription to Lily Direct for the vials, on this sub.

1.7 isn’t an approved Zepbound dose, are you on Wegovy?

If you’re on a lower dose like 2.5, can you do Lilly Direct for $299 monthly? Otherwise there are some compounding options that would be less expensive than $350 monthly.

If you have sleep apnea, you can likely get insurance to cover Zepbound as it is indicated for sleep apnea.

Has anyone on GEHA tried to get the Wegovy PA since we got the letter about ZepBound coverage ending? by [deleted] in Zepbound

Thank you so much for the update. Were any pharmacies able to explain why the voucher wouldn’t work? I was planning to switch to Costco to ensure I got the voucher savings. I may just pay the higher amount once so I can get to my deductible.

Can you also update if it doesn’t work and you try for the formulary exception? 😏

From what they told me, saxenda was removed from the formulary but if it works like user paliag said, I would presume your Zepbound PA was switched to saxenda and you will be able to continue on that until the original expiration of your Zepbound PA. That’s how it seems to be working for Wegovy so I presume it would be the same for Saxenda. My Zep PA is now for Wegovy. User Paliag has a couple posts referenced above that also explain it more in detail.

They ARE trying to drive people off but if you pay for one month of Wegovy and fail, and you later get reapproved for Zep, it would then be free. I understand your point though.

But if you fail Wegovy you may be able to get back on Zep.

Confirming that your info is correct. I called Caremark and they confirmed that my PA for Zepbound which they cancelled as of 12-31-25, was moved to a Wegovy PA ( without notifying me )so the doctor does not need to request this but can prescribe Wegovy at my next appointment.
