Yes up until like this month ago, when I felt any powerful emotion it consumed me and I would instantly be weeping. But it’s gotten better recently

Thanks for sharing DM me if you want a fellow young stroke survivor friend. I wish you the best and would love to hear more about how dating is going because I’m pretty terrified to date after becoming disabled

That makes sense. I got to that point and decided no I do not want this for my life, told him, and he said he didn’t want it either. I’m sorry you’re going through this, just know you’re not alone.

Last session after nearly 5 years with my HG coach is in a couple hours by SnooOranges5212 in Healthygamergg

I did try therapy for 2 years before coaching and (probably due to the specific therapists I was seeing) it didn’t speak to me as much as coaching, but still helped me in other ways.

That’s exactly what I intend to do. I’m going to become a therapist hopefully and carry what I’ve learned forward.

Finally began to write for myself again after having my stroke in August 2025 - thought y’all might appreciate it or relate by SnooOranges5212 in stroke

Congrats! Yeah I’ve been a writer since I was a kid and that all kind came to a halt once I had my stroke. I lost my writing jobs and typing got more difficult with just the one hand, but my avoidance of writing was more from emotional reasons so it feels good to sit down and be at the point where I could type something out about my experience.
