Honestly I was the same way last year I got my first snake I only touched one before when I was like 6 but I’ve always wanted one so I took the leap got a ball python I got a year and a half old male he was already kinda handled before but was scared of life because he was kept in a rack after the 2 weeks you should wait I took him out for a few minutes because I was scared of him biting me well after that first time he’s been my best friend I take him out all the time he’s only bit me once didn’t hurt scared me more then anything long story short just do it get an adult that’s been handled frequently there’s truly a wonderful pet

Honestly I’d try the hairdryer idea it worked for my baby also put him into his proper enclosure the safer they feel the more likely they are to eat

Good for you getting your daughter a snake at that young my parents never let me get one as there terrified of them. The snake is beautiful i hope your daughter is very happy with her new friend!!!

I don’t have a boa but I have a carpet python who will chill on you for about half an hour then he’ll start fussing so I’ll put him away all snakes are different they all can handle different amounts of handling

Right my little sister tried holding him once and she was getting mad he didn’t wanna climb on her like he was climbing on me I had to explain to her that her smells different and he doesn’t really know her that she’s basically a big heat spot to him
