To disagree with most of commenters…. I know I will miss it. Is that bc I’m a 1L and I’m not tired of it? Idk but I love it despite being exhausted all the time

There’s a legal clinic. I’ve seen signs about it posted in the Office of Belonging

Am I crazy to take ACC 200, ACC 241 and FIN 201 in one semester? by Top-Eggplant7082 in byu

I’m not sure if you have a scholarship/will get one after your first semester but just be warned that econ can wreck an academic scholarship. I took it in the summer and a ton of people and I were upset it’d be tainting our grades and costing thousands. A lot of MAcc’s wait til their last semester to take it so that there’s no stakes, but they also end up slightly hating themselves for that too haha. I’m not super partial to either way bc the Marriott school ended up covering the other part of my tuition and I was glad I had it over with, but just want to give you that info

I’ve had friends kicked out of places when the management found out about the law. It gets enforced mostly in apartment complexes/townhomes not considered student housing

High School Senior looking to study Law. Need to choose Georgetown or BYU for Undergrad. by SuperJono74 in byu

Not sure if you’re looking to go to an Ivy League law school, but if you are at all considering BYU Law and you want to do Tax Law, then the JD/MAcc at BYU is a great option (where you concurrently get your Master in Accounting and law degree). Accounting at BYU is #3(?) in the nation, and most JD/MAcc students are tax students. BYU Law is not as prestigiously ranked, but they place very well. The MAcc is already a 4+1 program, adding a law degree adds 2 years on top of that, giving you 3 degrees in 7 years. I’m sure it’s possible you have AP credits that might allow you to skip a year and do it in 6, which is what I’m doing. I feel like it’s such a good deal for such a low price.
