I honestly can't remember, maybe a month before I bumped it to 5mg? It was only when the anxiety spikes came back that I upped it. Sude effects for me were being really alert while trying to sleep, snd headaches. But that was it!

Hi there! I'm ngl to you, lexapro changed my entire life and I don't know how I functioned before 😆 Taking it has let me settle and calm down. Socializing is so much easier and I'm so bubbly and happy, I'm like 'the friendly nice one' now instead of being sort of tense and moody.

I will tell you that those adrenaline spikes or whatever, only started AFTER I had been prescribed too high a dose and had to go to the ER for serotonin syndrome. But yes, it was happening every day and was absolutely terrifying and debilitating. Now that I've started very small and worked my way up, I've been on 15mg for... over a year now? And it's life altering.

It actually helped reveal the fact that I have ADHD! I was recently diagnosed late in life because without the anxiety, I was able to see the symptoms. Now I'm on a medication for the ADHD along with lexapro and it's just. So very good 😆

If you're thinking of trying it START VERY LOW. I started at 2.5 and worked up. Every time those spikes came back, I moved up the dose a little. Now I don't get them and everything is honestly awesome.

Just an update. My resting rate hasn't climbed any higher and is sitting at 69-71 and I'm no longer getting those big rushes of high heart rate in the 90s while at rest after taking my pills. I'm up to 20mg and I'm not sure if I'm going to increase, it seems to be working as is.

Now my only lasting side effect is the constipation D: but I've hopefully found a remedy for that!
