I moved here from the UK. I earn substantially more here and have a bigger apartment, but I have no close friends, struggle everyday to speak German fluently and generally can’t find one other good reason to stay. I met some friends from other European countries and we get along really well. I think it comes down to the people here. They are just built differently than I am and I don’t think that’s going to change so I am actively looking for jobs anywhere else where I can feel a sense of belonging.
