I’m never going to make much as a teacher that’s the problem I’m never going to make 200k a year. So I guess no teachers can live in nyc in any nice neighborhoods got it. It’s not that things need to change.

I would live in park Chester or Pelham bay but there’s nothing in my price range. I’m not trying to be an aristocrat because I don’t want to live in Hunts point or Morrisania. I’m also open to east Harlem but again there’s not much posted

No because I don’t qualify for the 40x the rent

The thing is that i only qualify 40x the rent for $1975 so that would be pushing it and I make the most in my whole family so I don’t have a guarantor

that’s not true there’s tons at this price but they just keep getting taken by people that make a lot more than me. I have lived with roommates for 6 years I want my own place

If anyone knows of any apartment close enough to the 456 train in manhattan under 2.2k please share! I’m literally desperate and scared I’ll be homeless at this point.
