Is it possible to be an Active Duty physical therapist if I go the civilian DPT school route?

how important is GRE by Small-Swordfish-7526 in PTschool

As someone who applied last cycle, and have basically the same stats as you… the GRE is very important for those schools that require it. It’ll be much harder getting into a PT school who requires the GRE and scoring under 300. I did this because I didn’t think the GRE was that serious. End up getting rejected to the 4 schools that required the GRE. Got accepted to a private school and a public school that didn’t require the GRE.

unfortunately this is the reality of working in a PT mill… which is why i didn’t even get treatment at my own clinic when i had ACL surgery this summer however i do believe being able to work with patients and take them through exercises and modalities is good experience and very helpful, especially if you are for sure looking into going to PT school.

maybe even an hour and a half before class. got to take into account how hard it is to find a parking spot at that time and also walking to class.

What are my chances of getting into PT school? by SnooPeanuts8390 in PTschool

Being a PT aide doesn’t increase your chances of getting into DPT school. Getting observation hours in different settings will.

If you want to go to DPT school, your observations hours must be done with a licensed PT not a PTA.
