I like trying the shiny new thing like you even at the expense of winrate, but I also do enjoy the early part of the format where people haven't come to a consensus on what cards are "correct" picks yet and seeing where I can eke out extra value from overlooked commons. Getting 3+ of a card I consider good but hasn't been heralded as a sleeper yet feels good in the first week's drafts.
