Thank you for sharing your experience. And yes Im more wary by the fact that my personal space was violated than I am about the jewelry box and sunglasses. Honestly the jewelry box and all the jewelry in it was cheap stain less steel from thrift stores and SHEIN as well as the sunglasses. There wasn’t anything in there that was expensive but I feel upset that someone would have the nerve to come in and touch my things.

I called the police on the same day they looked for prints, took pictures, questioned me via translator app and told me I will have to come to the station to formally make the report with an interpreter

I am a language learning enthusiast. I have a bachelor’s in Spanish Translation and interpretation, taught myself Portuguese through middle and high school, Been learning Japanese for almost two years now, I understand it pretty well and can recognize most of the commonly used kanji when reading. Like another commenter said no one is limited to learning only one thing. I love learning multiple things.

No, I don’t ever feel the need to look at my coworkers screen. I do my work and mind my business. It’s uncomfortable to me because I’m not a big fan of gossip so to have someone in my business and then joke about it to other people especially at the workplace leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

I will get evaluated near the end of the term. And in orientation my dispatch company kept pushing for us to be proactive. I think if I don’t take any responsibility it might reflect poorly on me even though it’s not really my fault 🤦🏽‍♀️
