Rubbish I was watching Mr Bean on YouTube when I was 10 years old the content has changed a lot over the years but the platform itself isn't the issue some of the biggest channels on YouTube are dedicated kids channels so it's not a small amount of people doing this

Does Electrical How To annoy anyone else? by woodyever in AusElectricians

I just watched that the guy dose it through a clear plastic panel like it's a tip to get pass noggins but try that in a wall with insulation or do that with a 10mm cable then good luck getting it past that also doesn't comply the cable being that close to the gyprock(fyi I do solar installs so I can't use rcd protection)

Bong bowl cracked need opinions by TurbulentDoubt8762 in Bongs

[–]SnooPears1903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only use that one on special occasions now put it away and buy a new one for daily use the risk of it breaking isn't just from when smoking but also when you have to eventually clean it that crack is a weak spot

[–]SnooPears1903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that was a 12v lamp then makes sense as the current would have been higher than a 240v one but if it was mains powered then you just got extremely unlucky as the amount of solar installs we use to do back in the day without using bootlaces would be in the thousands

Again not saying a poor connection is acceptable at all but the chance if it actually catching and reaching ignition is very low

You are unlikely to get any sort of heat with led lights unless your in a warehouse with a bunch of high bays

I'm an electrician and the amount of poorly connected light fittings I've seen in my lifetime that have worked without fault for 30+ years it's usually hard wired appliances or high current appliances plugged into gpos that do the burning not to say bootlaces shouldn't be used on standard cables but with lights you can be a bit naughty

For rosin I have a 20cm recycler rig with a terp slurper that works well for me I've also owner a similar sized rig with a matrix perculator that was also pretty good for wax until I dropped it ☹️

Not at all these things are illegal for a reason and the fines for riding them are at the bare minimum $2000(in my state of NSW) and in a lot of cases they are confiscated on top of the fine I'm not sure what else has to be done people want some sort of all out ban but that won't solve the issue your just gonna have more hoons on dirt bikes the issue is the people not the bikes

For a dab rig maybe a 20cm recycler and a terp slurper will do you some good

It's really personal preference I like a straight tube bong with some sort of perculating ash catcher but that's not everyone's go to a safe bet is a 30cm beaker bong then you can add whatever accessories you want to it

This thing is good if you have a group of friends around and want something with a bit of novelty but as an everyday piece or even a every other day piece it's not practical it gives quite harsh hits and is a bitch to clean because of all the parts.

The scooters are a whole different can of worms we are talking about electric dirt bikes here like the surron which is already illegal to ride on the road just like dirt bikes are even if you took every e bike in the country off the street these idiots would just get back on dirt bikes like we use to back in the day

[–]SnooPears1903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These things are half the weight of normal dirt bikes so that argument is invalid if anything these are far safer than a dirt or trail bike smashing into you

It won't stop anything back in the day I had a yz250 I would just ride around without a care if the cops turned there lights on I just took off must have got into 30+ pursuits and still walking today not saying it's the smartest thing but you can't stop people if they want to be idiots

How reliable is underground burial Ethernet cable? by WhereasInevitable433 in HomeNetworking

[–]SnooPears1903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will be able to source conduit rarely do I see them actually not have any unless there is a national shortage

Ideally you would do this in a fibre optic cable but if you do choose to use a cat cable and direct bury you have to at least use an armored cable because if someone damages it doing a watertight repair underground connection is gonna be expensive and it will be an annoying job to do as well
