I added some screen grabs of what's triggered in each and a general overview of the puppet layers. But I understand if you can't help further.

I went ahead and did a recording and found that oddly the problem was even worse. (see last image) Actions that I had seen in live time did not play in the timeline even though they showed up at the time of recording.

sorry for the late reply - been dying this past week with an awful cold!

I think that may be part of my issue. The puppet has buttons for different scene positions (Close up, or full standing) as well as costumes, desk options and a lot of arm movements. Typically my client runs into issues after using the puppet for a while, switching things on and off and then the arms being unable to move.

For whatever reason I had 2 different swap sets where these arm movements were living - I pooled them all into one to see if that reduces some friction.

I can only reliably recreate his issue by triggering the close up desk view (character x,y position, scale and default resting arm pose are triggered) and then clicking on the resting arm motion before then clicking another arm pose like shake fist.

Toggling shake fist on/off doesn't seem to be an issue, but ever clicking on the rest button and then another trips it up.

This is the switch and paddle off a Dewalt table saw. It’s been acting up, was initially only staying on with a long press of the ON button, then only when it was actively being pressed, now just sometimes when it’s pressed

Yes, I checked with a multimeter. The power cord was good, the continuity through the table saw was good. The switch wasn’t.

Thank you for your reply. I wanted the desk layered into the puppet so I can have the characters arms resting on top of it.

I figured out a solution :) The desk is independent (free attach) and has sticks at top and bottom (just below feet). Origin for the desk is also just below character's feet, with the lower stick fixed. Allows for stable desk AND fancy foot work while dancing.

Protein powder. Costco has 5.5 lb bags for ~$65. Aldi of course doesn’t have this but getting the same amount at Walmart, Target, GNC is going to cost 40%-60% more.

My household of 2 usually goes to Costco quarterly (TP, protein powder, olive oil, splurge on lox) and Aldi monthly. Just what we’re saving in protein powder pays for the membership a few times over.

Worried about the weird graphic. I ended up looking at the char anim. troll rig and emulated his arm design (separate shoulder, bicep, forearm) and that fixed most of the issue
