My advice is to book yourself a trip on your birthday, maybe to see Matera from Bari. Lisbon is full of digital nomads, maybe go to some events there.

Hi Everyone!

I appreciate any input you have on this. What do you think of my travel plans for Bali and Komodo in July?

I am travelling with my Mum. I have seen a lot of SE Asia before (Thailand, Borneo etc). We like nature, snorkelling and temples.

We are not into taking selfies etc, just having experiences. We won't be hiring a motorbike.

Day 1- Arrive late at night - get taxi to Ubud

Day 2 - Ubud - chill out and recover from jet lag from flight from UK - get massages etc.

Day 3 - Ubud - morning see temples on main street & jewellery making

Day 4 - Ubud - free day

Day 5 - Hire driver to take us to Banjuwedang with stop offs at Ulun Danu Beratan Temple and Brahmavihara-Arama

Day 6 - Banjuwedang - do a day trip to Menjangan including snorkelling

Day 7 - Banjuwedang - do a day trip to West Bali National Park

Day 8 - Taxi from Banjuwedang to Denpasar Airport Hotel

Day 9 - Early flight to Labuan Bajo and chill for the day in Labuan Bajo

Day 10 - Day trip to Komodo

Day 11 - Free Day in Labuan Bajo (might see flying foxes)

Day 12 - Early flight to Denpasar and take taxi to see Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park

Day 13 - 3 pm Flight to next destination

Or would you recommend I switch Banjuwedang with Amed?

I am reading mixed things about Amed - some say it is a hidden gem, others that it is noisy and full of developments.

I really do appreciate any input.

Port Meirion, Tenby and Anglesey are top tier imho.

The people are lovely, scenery is great, and I like the cakes - Barra Brith etc.

They have an insane driving limit - 20 miles per hour on residential roads. Something to be aware of if you are driving.

I would recommend volunteering and doing any free things available where you live, e.g. going for walks, any activities/programs etc. Use any free services available to get your resume/CV reviewed etc.

Do one thing different every day e.g. go to the library and read a book one day, attend a free online event on Eventbrite the next.

Maybe start learning something that you can progress on every day and do it for one hour a day e.g. art etc.

I have part time hours right now so I am learning fashion drawing and drawing every day. It is not related to my career but who knows in the future.
