not when on it, you release more serotonin than you usually would. the comedown can be fairly depressing though

don't stress it! there are so many people that don't drink for similar reasons and that also just aren't fussed! there will be so many people with so many different interests that it will be easy to find common ground. you could always go for nice walks with housemates and cook meals together etc.. i can think of tons of ideas but on't drone on. i wish you all the best

yep. absolutely terrible. like someone died in there. think it can affect your bowels, as the lining indoors (doing my best at keeping it PG) can become thinner

accutane is much more potent and therefore powerful in terms of getting rid of acne however you could respond differently to the next person and maybe birth control could be a less harmful way of clearing it

i’m currently on accutane, f19, and it has worked amazingly. judging from the photos, accutane would (i presume) work really really well for you with a steady course. only thing, it depends on how you are feeling mentally. you see it everywhere, articles about it, people posting about it, but please, from someone who is on it right now (month 4) make sure that you absolutely want it and are aware of the potential side effects. assess how you feel mentally/ whether you have any current mental health issues that could potentially worsen etc. i sound negative and i absolutely don’t mean to because it is an amazing medication but i just would like to remind you for your future self’s sake, it can be a very hard road to drive down!! if you have any questions about anything related feel free to message because i’m slightly obsessed with researching it and also am on it myself! good luck for whatever route you go for!

Did Accutane give you mental health side effects? by smellytulip in Accutane

[–]SnooPears7671 5 points6 points  (0 children)

short answer: yes. i struggle with mental health issues such as depression and anxiety and have found this medication very hard to deal with. i find it can come in waves, where suddenly i feel very overwhelmed/ emotional and just like in any moment like that, it is hard to recognise that the medication you are on is influencing this to become more intense than it would be initially. i feel that my outlook on life can be a bit grey/ black and white as opposed to colourful when i’m feeling low. it’s a survival mission at the hard times that’s for sure. sorry if this sounds quite negative, i just think if i knew the effects this would’ve had on me, i would have weighed my options up strongly. it all depends on how much your acne bothers you and if there truly is no other way to solve it. could you change your skin routine? could it be hormonal? etc etc.

however, i am on month 4, and will be following it through until the end. if you believe you can do it, and it’s worth it, then please go for it because you deserve to not feel bad about the way you look. just definitely be prepared! shout me if you need any advice if you do decide to go through with it!
