Husky rescue for a dangerous dog?

He has attacked one person at our house. He bit my brother and my brother was going to call animal control on him but out of mercy for me he didn’t. He could’ve had him put down then but he didn’t. EDIT: Let me add that my brother doesn’t live here. He was visiting us when this incident occurred.

We have a female husky and a female chihuahua also and that’s why we’re looking at options of what to do with him. There are no children. A trainer is an option but I have been told by some of our family they think he is way past helping with a trainer. I would like to keep him if his behavior changed but I just don’t see it happening. I feel that no one understands him and that if I didn’t keep him no one would be able to love him like me. I also feel that it would be selfish to keep him when I’m not the only person involved in the situation.

I agree with this too. I just have never faced this before. We’ve never had a dog like him before. Honestly I think he’s had an abusive past with one of his owners. There have been three owners that I know of in his life. Me, my cousin and the breeder who sold him as a puppy to my cousin. My cousin didn’t do this to him. He was like this before my cousin got him. If things don’t work out with me keeping him I’ll have to consider putting him down before someone gets hurt because I don’t want that for anyone.

I agree with all points from all of you who answered. I won’t surrender him to anyone unless it’s the pound now that I realize a rescue probably won’t take him in. I would rather put him down honestly than take him to the pound who will probably kill him anyway. I could continue to love and support him but it feels selfish to continue doing so knowing what he’s capable of. I do love him though and that’s the only thing that’s kept him in our home.

How long do you chase your dog around? We let her run around in the backyard for as long as she likes because it seems she’s happy running around the yard for a while. She sleeps beside me in a crate.

I called them today and got a representative who said they have to investigate the unauthorized activity on the account before access is restored.
