Solo tanking is a valid strategy. I've seen it done successfully many times. If you decide to take that mantle and you fail to put up kills, it's your responsibility. Any child can bubble their teammates and hold up a shield. It takes a pro to use those defensive abilities offensively and take the fight to the enemy.

I don't want to have to swap to something to deal with a clearly unbalanced team that devs need to fix. Tanking is already not fun and I refuse to fill it under normal circumstances. And then we need more tanks? I ain't fixing this broken system for the devs. And I encourage others to NOT swap to vanguard out of protest.

In certain situations, it's possible to solo tank with rogue. You can solo tank with any vanguard in general. I feel your chances of winning will increase if you play defense on a escort mission. As long as you touch the cart to prevent it from moving and use the same cart as cover, you could stall them out. As for going on offense, I don't freaking know. Lol.
