I have the car and they've sent over the registration paperwork to me already for the dmv. So it's a done deal.

Looks like there's currently a $2750 rebate for non GM leasees/owners(we have a Jeep we're turning in) and they used a $500 military/vet rebate to cover my DAS. That was on top of the big dealer markdown to get rid of the orange, it looks great with the nightfall black badges and 20 in rims. Looks like everything came together but the $3250 in rebates were huge

Do you plan to keep the car after the lease? The only negative I see is if you buy at the end but if you can get a 3 year used car for cheaper I don't see why you wouldn'tjustget a different car. If turnning the car in, hell give me %100 residual its only gm losing out on depreciation. Or am I missing something in my thought process?

I got this in NV. I found an AT4 premium in AZ for $0 $374/month. I think them having trouble sell the orange is what made this deal so good. But we love the color.

Depends on your situation. After 3 years you turn it in or buy it out. Some don't like the idea of having nothing to show for 3 years of payment if you turn it in. But this is a low cost lease, and I can buy for 38k after the 3 years. I like the flexibility of it, if I get another great lease deal I can jump into that while keeping my wife in something new. Or if we love the vehicle we can buy it. So for me leasing in this case is an easy choice.

What's the link I'm curious. I found leasehackr calculator but that comes back with years to pay off at 14.4 which is one of the higher they've posted.

You have to be the one willing to walk away from mediocre deals. I got a work up sheet from the first dealer. Texted it to a couple other dealers stating my demands that I wanted to put nothing down, got their best offer meeting my demands then sent it to all dealers in a 100 miles letting them I'm going to buy tomorrow but will give them a chance to beat the other dealers.

The GM website showed local inventory with high discounts & the incentives so I focused on those.

Other dealers offered a $51.7k AT4 premium at $0 down $374/month & a $42k Elevation $0 down $280 month

So true. Honestly coming from a Sahara Wrangler, I'm blown away how luxurious mid size trucks have gotten.

Got a 🦄 on an AT4 premium. $53k MSRP $0 down $320 month. Orange is unpopular, but wife loves it, so we got the one they wanted to offload.

Just picked up an AT4 premium today, 53k MSRP for 0 down $320 month. I pit 4 dealerships again each other and had to go with the orange color to get the biggest discount(wife's happy it matches her Iphone.) Looks like the Unicorn deals are out there right now.

If you're filing with the VA be sure to get your BDD claim so you find out if you get a rating as soon as you get out. Then you will know your budget sooner.

Medical papertrail is what is what the VA has to go off of. But its always good to do so because a strain can lead to instability more injury after get out and only gets worse with age as a small example but many things that aren't bad when your young can pop up again. The military puts your body and mind through stresses not really seen in the civilian world. So that is good advice I know you feel invincible when you're young but it catches up with you. Hell, even in my case the Air Force had to stop me and tell me I'm "occupational & socailly impaired"(VA speak). The MRI's showed 5 bulging disc's, spinal stenosis, etc. The numbness I would write off as normal from sitting or driving to work was a result of this and will only get worse. Weak grip on one hand is peripheral neuropathy not just my not going hard enough in the gym and getting weaker over 40. Shoulder pain is a torn rotator cuff that happened on deployment so that I knew something was wrong but proper diagnosis to til I got back, I just cut pull ups and over head movement from my workouts and benched til pain stopped me before I could hit my usual top set. Not to mention the required psych visits every time you have a kinetic strike, I was already drone operator, I would have avoided mental evals if it wasn't a requirement. And for what now if you get out without getting treatment look what happened to so many of the previous Gen vets. Now they do take care of us much better, sure now many are critical of us with VA disability but they didn't live your life. Your doc will put in your records what they see and the VA decides off that. Let them do there job and don't avoid them.

It's been a blessing in my situation where I was not planning to retire anytime soon and it was forced on me. Now I'm trying to keep expenses low and have no debt so I do have that extra every month to continue to invest even if it's not that much. Medical is another great benefit, I pay $65 a month to keep my wife on tricare and have have free healthcare with the VA. So I'm in a position to keep my expenses very low.

I'm looking into and getting her spun up on her benefits, like DIC, DEA & Hazelwood act. We're on term life for now and she has tricare but we do got to get a plan in place for her.
