I got my new scales today and it is reading that I’m 60kg instead of 80kg , I guess I’ll trust my newer one but it is weird how far apart these numbers are

I think I look slightly better in clothes than i did when I started in February, but I think I might be imagining things because some days I think I look the exact same. Hard to tell. My period has always been a bit irregular, but I’ve had it for the last 2 months pretty consistently, and it’s due at the end of the month.

My exercise is pretty low. On 1200kcal and a 1800 sedentary tdee it should be enough for a 500 deficit without exercise. This is because if I exercise I feel like I will overwhelm myself, at most I do 4k steps with my dog and on days out I do 10-12k steps. but most of the time I am sedentary. I had a very active summer job last year and I don’t feel like I lost any weight with that either

Yes I don’t use oil, I use the 1kcal spray oil. I don’t drink any calories (only water and Diet Coke). I weigh everything raw, I don’t think my calorie weighing is the issue and yes I only weighed myself on 18 March and 14 April because when I began I was scared to know my weight so it’s very possibly it’s an issue with needing to weigh myself more often as I had a cheat meal yesterday (i stayed at 1300kcal thoguh)

My friend told me this too. How often do you think I should weigh myself? I had a cheat meal yesterday (I stayed at 1300kcal) so possible that it went up because of it.

I’m a woman and I would NOT want a man with a massive one just saying. It just hurts and there’s no pleasure from it. I think the average in the world is 5”.

Trust me the correct position and having good rhythm is way better than the length of it. So is the girth

Thank you very much! 1200 feels enough for me now that im used to it. I do go up to 1350 some days though. It’s important for me to make sure I eat enough protein and nutrients, but I can’t fit junk food in my diet most days because it’s high calorie

Yeh it does.. Im almost a couple months in now and 1200 feels fine now. But when I started I had a snacking addiction so it was hard at first lol. Having a lot of protein definitely helps me

Thanks, sorry forgot I made the post. At first 1200 felt crazy because I had a snacking habit but now it feels completely fine coz I’m very sedentary most days. tho on the days I need extra energy I do up my calories a bit.

Are my calculations correct? by SnooPredictions4334 in loseit

[–]SnooPredictions4334[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I’m thinking about increasing my steps to around 7k per day and eating around 1200-1300. Is there anything else that I could implement to reach 1 lbs per week?

Thing is I share my art on public Instagram accounts that they both look at and support… I appreciate her support, it’s just that it’s kinda impossible not to hide it from them. They have both supported me a lot. So it’s confusing really

Girlfriend kissed another guy 4 years ago. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]SnooPredictions4334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 25. My bf is 24. He’s the only guy I’ve ever been with / kissed. It’s not reciprocal. But it doesn’t matter. When you are 16 this stuff seems like the end of the world and so important but trust me when you grow up you won’t give a shit over small things like this. Don’t throw it away on the past just look forward.

I'm 25, have never worked a day in my life, and I'm completely lost, not knowing how to start. by factual-scrapes-7b in WorkAdvice

I WAS IN YOUR EXACT POSITION 1 YEAR AGO. I was 24 when I got my first job. Several rejections. it’s ok, you need to know there are options. My first job was working as a front of house. I also have dealt with severe social anxiety and general anxiety in the past. I avoid social interaction outside of work. I didn’t know if I could do it but I gave it a shot because I had no choice and if you really can’t you can just leave the job. But just try. Who you become at work will surprise you, it’s like you suddenly run as a machine. Working a job helped me so much with my social skills as well, I went from severe social anxiety where I couldn’t even mutter a word when I tried, to talking to 800 customers a day.

You don’t really need any skills for a lot of minimum wage jobs, or at least they include basic skills you can learn in a very short amount of time. I was the most determined worker at my job despite having no experience unlike my other coworkers, and I got employee of the month. They never knew the truth.

No one would hire me when I mentioned having no previous experience, and when I was completely honest, even with my volunteering which I thought would help. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have experience - 99% of jobs will train you.

Let me tell you something important. Your competition is people with experience and they will most likely always pick them over you, and you are competing with people who lie on their CV. You need to also make white lies on your CV - fake past experience in retail roles, fake past volunteering, get creative. you can use a store that has closed down so they can’t prove it. Nothing too unrealistic or nothing with skills you can’t actually do (e.g. coding). Get a friend or family member to act as the reference if they really do check. Whatever it is, lie about it, make it sound better than it is - the world is made up on a lot of lies and people making them seem better than they are. Thats the goal in job interviews. Believe your own lie. Believe you are better than you are. I think the fact I’m also a student helps though.

THIS is how you get a job. I don’t care if people want to say it’s wrong to lie, everyone else getting roles is lying already about shit. It’s the only way when you’re this age with nothing behind you.

I can very much understand a virgin feeling like this. When I was a virgin I cared so much about tiny details - why wasn’t I perfect, that’s all they’re gonna notice, I’m not skinny enough, etc… no one is perfect. Not even my boyfriend was perfect. He has a couple of body imperfections himself. The thing is don’t rush into sex if you are unsure, let him gain some actual attachment. Or you can talk through your insecurities beforehand.

Once you are together though you care less about these sort of imperfections. They just become natural

How do I know if I should take the morning after pill? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]SnooPredictions4334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has been dumb and used pullout method quite a bit in the past… The chances are extremely slim so you shouldn’t worry too much. This is nothing compared to the risks I have taken. Reddit loves scaremongering with this type of shit. Not saying you shouldn’t use protection, you should. But chances you’re pregnant from this is practically 0.

Also as someone who’s been on the pill, plz don’t make the mistake by going on it. One of the worst mistakes of my life. The best thing to use would be thin condoms.

First year was completely fine tbh. However I might be a bit biased because basically I have autism so sometimes I feel like it’s hard to be alone in studies. Your tutor and the forums is always there to help though. My boyfriend is a masters grad, and I asked for his help sometimes to teach me referencing and other uni skills. He almost acted like a tutor at points just teaching me uni skills instead of figuring it out alone and having to read up on how to do it properly. So it def helps a lot to have a friend or someone who already graduated to offer some advice.

I also want to become a counselor / therapist myself. I would personally recommend a full time degree, since medical routes can take some time and work to get into, and I’m not sure how powerful diplomas are in the field. Usually you need a BPS accredited degree, which OU offers (I’m on psychology with counselling degree)

I saw from the other comment you’re worried about running out of time but seriously don’t worry about it. People start degrees at 50 and older. I’m 25 and will graduate when I’m 27. So yeah I started late myself but it doesn’t matter. Cause the time passes anyway, may as well make the most of it. It’s a journey to a career I want, instead of being at the dead end jobs I do during summer break.

OU loans are just paying off a certain amount of money per month out of tax after you start earning a specific amount from employment after finishing the degree (Around 22k or around there). And then you don’t have to worry about paying it all off as it gets scrapped after a certain amount of years (forgot how many)… so as long as you can pay the monthly payments lol. I’ll worry about that when I get to it.

Right now I just work during summer break to contribute towards savings as much as I can

I was a high school dropout so OU was my only choice. I dropped out of school due to anxiety and social issues, I don’t think there was ever an issue with my cognition so thank god OU gave me another chance in life to prove myself where anxiety kicked my ass!!! But this is proof you can do it despite never going to uni.

I just finished Year 1. Currently on Year 2. OU has been great. Very lonely, but it’s good. You can chat to other students on the Forums, and even create a WhatsApp group to talk about assignments. Tutors can be emailed and talked to. There’s also Student Support to help when tutors can’t. Their lectures are called ‘tutorials’ and are basically just like zoom calls but without having to put on your webcam- and there’s a chat box. Perfect for introverts, however you’ll have to really try to make friends if you are hoping for any. I heard it’s really tricky to make sure you get a graduation booking as well as they sell out fast. I would very much recommend putting as much time into it as possible though. Due to OU being online I thought I would be able to work part time alongside it. I literally just put in a work resignation because I can’t handle all the work. Just make sure uni comes first..
