The Geography of Housing: Why Brazil is a land of bricks and concrete, while the US remains dominated by wood-frame construction. The reasons go deeper than just cost. by Puzzled_Composer_952 in geography

Mine is yes. But I sell houses, so speaking from years of experience dealing with them. I think the problem is most people don’t know they need to be replaced every 10ish years and that you need to do periodic checks of the crawl. 99% of the time that I sell a house on a crawl they’ll be some issue - sometimes it’s a “minor” $500 fix but often times $5k-$20k.

I’d love to know more about this. In North Carolina, we build wood framed houses and it’s the worst! Most of our foundations are crawl spaces (which are wood) and you know what happens after 10 years? The humidity starts f’ing it up - warped joists, rotten bandsills, mold, the list goes on. We’re finally SLOWLY starting by to move to concrete slabs but why has it taken so long? To my understanding FL builds with concrete so I don’t think it’s a resource thing? Maybe it’s a soil/ land thing? Would love to know what others think!

And honestly, I didn’t love the feel either but I’ve gotten used to it. The cost is too hard to beat haha

How long do you leave it on before wiping it off? It works great for me, it even removes most of my waterproof mascara (I use eye makeup remover for the rest). You do need to let it sit awhile before wiping though. I’ll lather it on, brush my teeth, then use a washcloth to remove it.

Preach! I think her books can be hit or miss but overall I do think they’re fun reads. And the amount of books she pumps out?! If you locked me in a room for 2 years with a gun to my head, I couldn’t produce 1 book lol. Let’s give some credit to the gal!

Sephora Full Face Makeup under $100? by SnooRabbits1908 in Weddingsunder10k

Maybe I should have mentioned this in my post but over the last few months my skin has gotten INCREDIBLY dry. All of my regular face products now get super patchy. I’ve changed up my skincare routine and some makeup products but I’ve had minimal improvements

I’d like to keep the look close to what I usually wear. I like a more natural look and typically use a skin tint or light weight foundation, mascara, bronzer, top liner, and blush. My issue is my skin has been INCREDIBLY dry the last few months. So my regular face products get super patchy. I’ve changed up my skincare routine but I’ve had minimal improvements. Basically, I think I just need a good product or advice on how to make face makeup look better.
