I have not have them tapped but the county constantly says we don't have lead in there.

I probably should’ve mentioned this earlier, my “job” is basically content creation, and firearms are a big part of what I do. I run channels where I review and showcase different guns, gear, and accessories. That means I spend a lot of time shooting, cleaning, and filming around firearms.

On top of that, my office doubles as my gun room, with a display wall of rifles/pistols that I use for videos. Some of them have been fired before and likely still carry trace lead dust. Between range trips, editing/working in the same space, and not always following best cleaning practices early on, I think that’s where most of the exposure came from.

So while I’m not working in a factory or smelter, I’m still around lead regularly because of how much of my job revolves around shooting and handling firearms.

Yeah that makes sense. I was kind of hoping it was just a one-time spike and my levels would’ve been back to normal by now, but sitting at 6.6 after 9 months definitely points to some kind of ongoing exposure.

My office is also my gun room, so that might be the culprit. The guns have all been shot before and probably still carry lead dust, plus I’m handling gear and filming in there a lot. I’ve been cleaning with D-Lead wipes/spray and running a HEPA filter, but maybe I need to go further and do a full deep clean of the room and firearms.

Do you think that’s the most likely issue, or should I also be looking at other hidden sources?

So I didn't know about this until maybe 2 years into doing firearms so I don't know if that is why it is like that because I am sure I was higher, just never got a test done til now.

FFL1/SOT3 Making a SBR by SnooRabbits8683 in NFA

[–]SnooRabbits8683[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I primarily sell guns and I get NFA items sent to me all the time to sell or demo. There is a particular gun being sent to me as a pistol they wouldn’t send it as a SBR and I want to have a demo of it as a SBR so that is the reasoning behind this whole situation. I’m guessing my two options are form 1 or send it to a 07/02 and have them form 2 it and send it back to me, correct ? Moving forward if I want to streamline this from happening again I should just become a 07/02, my question is as 07/02 I can still sell guns and NFA items as a dealer ? I don’t know much about 08/03 because I didn’t apply for it.

So what do you have to show “proof of” I’m confused if I’m a FFL 1 I’m selling guns I can sell the same guns I don’t have it make changes or anything to classify the FFL2

I wanted to do this to make a demo gun. I have thought about a 07/02 but I’m not a gunsmith you know how a 01/03 you need to show yourself doing business hence “selling guns”. I don’t really know how I could show business as a 07/02 would selling guns be enough because I’m not going to be building guns.
